My dad works at the shipyard, and this week he has night shift. This morning, when he got back home. He was telling my mom that he had one of the strangest dreams he ever had.. This is what the dream was about... the meaning to it.. i havent got a clue, hope u guys could help me out with that :P

THE DREAM

It was 1 plus, and there wasnt much job that day, so when my dad took a little nap after he finished his job, he dreamt that there was a chinese Pot-belly bald man holding on to my dads leg and not letting my dad go,and when my dad finally broke free, he saw that the chinese man ran to the corner of the room and lied down like the sleeping buddha and started laughing, initially my dad recognised that chinese guy as one of his acquaintance of a friend and he left it as that as it was just a dream.

when my dad got up this morning, and was about to leave for home, my dad would do his daily prayers in the shipyard.
The shipyard merged the chinese and indian GODS alters together so that they could all pray together in harmony, and it was then and only then, that my dad realised that the chinese man in his dream was actually a chinese God in the alter, fooling and teasing him in the dream.

Does this dream make sense?
anyone got any opinion on this?

He has seen the figure everyday as he perform the prayers and ritual. It is not surprise that the figure had impression in his dream.

I think he got so used to it that he treated the figure more than a statue and as a friend so in the dream thats why the "god" sort of like playing with him like his friend.

so basically are u saying that, while my dad prays to the hindu gods and the chinese gods, he may vaguely remember the faces of the chinese gods and subconsciously he recalls their faces of the chinese Gods?

yes but was not remembering clear enough to recongise them as god.

It is like for an example, when we dream of our decreased relatives, many of the time subconsciously we might dream that they are still alive,talking and doing stuff that they usually or dont usually do, we might not in that point of the dream remember that they are already dead.

but when we wake up and recall the dream, we would realised that the people that we dream of were actually dead but why are they still in the dream alive?

Its just a dream. Don't think too much or brood over it. So far nobody has really decipher any dreams correctly. Its just a fragment of what your memory, scientifically explain

dreaming of a buddha shld be a good thing.. from wat u described, he shld be the laughing buddha.. the buddha who sends wealth n fortune.. u knw pple like to touch their bald head n stomach de.. so i think nth to worri abt bah..

my dad prays to buddha too, soo i dont think it was HIM who appeared in the dream cos or else he would have recognised HIM
