I went over to Raffles place mrt that burger king, to find that there's no seats around... FINALLY, my partner and i shared a table with another lady.

When i look around, i saw 1 table of 4 pax taken up by 2 students studying(without any food or drink from BK)
1 table of 6-7pax of students studying with maybe 2-3cups of drinks
1 ah pek take up a table for 4 pax, OPEN THE NEWSPAPER BIGBIG without any food and drinks as well
a few insurance agentssssssss taking up tables to let their customers to sign up policies with their FINISHED food and drinks or even without any f&b

A common sight, fast food restaurant seems to be a "good" place for student to study leh....

I think the ah pek is the only inconsiderate person here...

yeah but I guess this happens everywhere... Though I wonder, could it be that these people you mentioned above had already finished their food and drinks and they cleared the tables for other purposes?

I remember the Golden Shoe food center as well, where people actually chopped seats with tissue papers....


I think that during lunch hours people should be more considerate and spare a thought for those who have yet to take their meals... I mean , everyone is allocated merely 1-2 hours for lunch on a standard day, so if these people need to use the tables for long hours they should consider a non-peak timing or just be more accomodating...

It's worse at maxwell mkt. Most of the tables are occupied by a pack of tissue paper and for many times the owners of these tissue paper aren't back after I found a seat and finished my food. I can understand if it's one person afraid she can't get a seat later but not if it's more than one or even a big group.

chop seats with tissue paper i'm still ok with it...
insurance agent i'm sure they can go coffee joints instead of food outlets..
students they can go to neighbourhood fast food outlets i suppose..
ahpek i got no comments.. cos got no alternatives for him

and bianca.. the ahpek sat down in front of me.. before i could get the seats....
the students got no comments.. they could finish the food already but as i pointed above.. y CBD area to study?

i always pack lunch back to office.. but lately my bf start working pt at my office.. so he quite pai seh to eat inside the office as well.. and the office is quite small.. so the food smell will linger around the office for quite sometimes. and management don't really encourage employees to eat in office

I had encoutnered such things before. I even encountered people who qithout asking just plodded tbeir asses down at my seats and even have one just pick up my seat as i buy my food and asked me to go and sat else where. had i not had any friends around, my bowl of hot laska will go down nicely on his whole body.

If there are ppl don't mind sharing seats then I'm fine with it, not so pek chek....... but some selfish ones will tell you it's occupied but until they left the place you can't see the invisible friends of theirs. First time I thought that person can't make it for lunch, if almost everyday you know som ppl are just being selfish.

Not sure if they still have this but I remember last time there are signboards in fast food restaurant saying not to study in the restaurant (something like that, I can't remember), I did complain to the manager once and he asked the students to leave the place to give the seats of diners.
