How can we tell direction and location on a map?
Help for a complete no no how to read map person...

well, it quite basically locating the point of destination on the map first, and yoru starting point on the map...and follow the route..sounds easy though...

Hmm but there still people can't find it....
How about we are drop in no man land, presume that I didn't know my starting point. How I know which spot I now stand in the map?

Example if the starting point was bottom right of the map, ending point was top left of the map. Are we gonna go diagonally straight till the end??? There isn't any specific route rite?

Are you given a compass? A normal map will always have a compass marking on it. Match both and you'll know the direction u shd take.

compass is a definet, but compass can tell direction where is the north. But how know where are we? How we reach our final destination with the aid of the compass? Somemore we might have different check points. Sorrie I don't have a strong background in map reading and navigation.

in army tats always a GPS ..... need to use tat to find the starting pt

I mean using the traditional means, without the aid of GPS.
