Hi, just like to know if anybody here have savings or investment accounts wif prudential? cos i would like to invest or save my money. Money in my bank not working hard enuff... any people like to educate me on it?
like prudential better or aberdeen? or jus open the account wif standard chartard and let it grow there?

for me i'm using prudential...everymth auto deduct $160 to this saving plan...u can get $$$ out 2nd yr onwards but won't earn much interest when ur plan mature...thats the idea..try not to withdraw..
then i still got invest in unit trust..tat i dun really care so much let my fund manager do the work..i juz pump in $$$ only as long as not losing $$ can liao...

u mean the unit trust izzit? for the saving plan well the name already says saving plan...its juz there for u to pump in the $ & earn the interest which varies depending on market..but surely more than the bank...for my unit trust yup its earning market gd now a days...fund manager can choose...but for mi is i get my fren to hold my fund like tat she'll be more careful when investing hehehe...

I heard from a NTUC agent b4 that for saving plans, if u do not plan to have the cashback every year (or every 2/3 years) then it is better to choose a non-cashback endowment plan.

not sure true or not but sounds logical.

i'm using my cpf to invest.. previously invested with AIA funds... after 2 years, made $30....

then i decided to switch to Prudential.. my friend's running an agency & he asked me to let him take care of my investments... within a year, my investment made $2K...

so far, so good *touch wood*..

my case is i bought AIA insurance frm my ex-director's husband (kena 'forced' into it :| ) and when i left that company, I changed agent & bought additional policies + invested my CPF so that this new agent can make some $ as well.

But this agent very unreliable, he put my policies under his bro's name without my knowledge as his bro was just starting out in this line & didnt have any clients. Two years down the road, I realised the truth as well as found out both bros have decided to call it quits & no longer in insurance line. So now, I dunno who the heck is servicing me also.. :

Thats why I switched my CPF investment to Prudential funds and so far I'm very happy with how fast its making $.

I got burnt investing in unit turst.. guess I wasn't watchful enough. Now only use CPF to invest with Prudential. Endowment also with Prudential.

fund manager look after the fund as a whole, not individual investor.

how long did u stayed invested? u need a long investment time horizon to c profits... and during downtimes... u may end up in the red for a few yrs even. if u decide to cut loss, tat's when u really lose. otherwise ride over it and u may profit from it. of course u may also end up worse also.
