Most of my life was spent living in HDB, I heard of so much stories on kampong life. Given the stressful life we been living in the urban landscape, sometimes we do need a break from these things, that's why a lot of ppl opted to go for holidays.

I wish that there is some kampong place in singapore for us to stay, a place for us to relive the kampong spirit,

a place where you can leave your doors open and chat with your neighbour,

a place to see huts, coconut trees against blue sky and white clouds

a place where children can run around in laughter, catch spiders, catch fish from ponds, play marbles

a place where you can have dogs, cats, chickens and ducks

a place where you can tie a cloth between coconut trees and lie on it to read book

a place without tv, computer, internet

Is this your place too?

personally in my pov - though pple yearned for such kampong days but then I thot - we had been inclined to current lifestyle - a few days breakaway can bah.....but for long - not many can take it lorz.......

but mayb wait till approaching retirement - then mayb diff story le......can accept

Although I did not live in an actual kampong b4, I had the prevelige to enjoy the time when neighbours look out for each other, kids play together, eat durians together, watch fireworks and opera/puppet together, and we hardly locked our doors too... missed the good old days...

I like alll the points bt only a place without tv, computer, internet, this one cannot do without.

I prefer booking in a 5 star hotel.... Stay a few days, off my handphone & dont tell any1 where I am..
To enjoy the luxury of being pampered...

Mosquitoes & me not on good term
