Lately seeing childrens asking for donations at the bus interchange, mrt stations etc.not sure whether its from which organisation but then feel then its like using them as a tool to ask for donations.i think the most they are primary school students only.not sure if anyone aso happened to encounter before?

It's very common for many many years already. Students from primary all the way to University are at 1 time or another, forced to do fundraising cuz it's ORDERED and FORCED by the schools. These students are not aware of which organisation sometimes, much less what these organisation are about or fundraise for what purpose.

I really pity these kids because if nobody wants to donate, the kids will feel bad & lose confidence. If the public donates and later they learn that they're just pawns to get the public to sympathise, yet the donations are used inappropariately, they'll feel guilty.

I've encountered it countless times, myself also has been there done that a couple of times. Seriously, schools also must play an ethical role model not to exploit its students for such means and forcing children to do things against their own will. It's been a open secret that many students detest such exercises & fundraising methods when they have totally no say at all.

near guang yin temple got a lot.. mostly i see 1 is around 10 years old or less 1.. the donation is for some "never heard b4 hospitals"..

i was thinking.. they so young wait kanna rob how? ;p

ya..feel the same way..coz they look younger naive so street ppl would actually higher chances to donate to them !..~~Destiny

They just do what they're told... teacher tell them to sell flags they just go. Last time I was also like that.

onli sometimes i would donate when i see familiar organisation
if not i would ask what is the donation for 1st

Hah! for me hor.. when teachers & schools forced me to go do fundraising for dunno wat reason they dun wanna explain, I return with empty can.. I dun care lor.

yeah I do that also.. ask b4 donating. If it's scouts, girl guides, boys' brigade, red cross then i donate.
