Hi all...

going to prepare a steamboat dinner for my friends (6-7 pax) this weekend n wonder what food to get besides fish balls n vegetables. I'm gg to hv 2 soup base...(tom yum n chicken)

.... Pls help me add more stuffs to the list ..... thks

Food to buy:

fishball / sotong ball
crab sticks
fish
prawns
liver
crabs
mushrooms
tang hun
squids
octopus
chicken / pork (to marinate a not??)

pig stomach,pig liver , squid, sliced fish, sliced pork , prawns, lala and most important thing - meshed galic, ginger, lime juice, chilli sauce.

CrabMeat, Sausages, Chicken Sliced Meat, Pork Sliced Meat, Marinate if you have the terpanyaki by the side, Prawns, PrawnsMeat Stick, Tofu, Xiao Bai Chai, and some new items which you can find in the market. See whatever things that's nice, just buy and try out. No Harm Trying

Put some of the hua tiao jiu (some wine thingy) in the soup. Very nice! Fish my mom say use red garuopa (sp?) cus it'll make the soup sweet. Oh and put the mushroom pork ball! My favourite. And bai cai (chinese cabbage is it?).

dun have the tepanyaki at the side..only with the soup type~ for chicken slice-how to marinate ah?

buy $3 mince meat.. marinate with oyster sauce, soya sauce, pepper, sugar, sesame oil. put in the fridge for abt a day.

buy 50 cents wanton skin.

then wrap the marinated meat with the wanton skin lor.

if not you can get such dumplings from supermarket too. of coz DIY ones taste better lah.
