Default Thai Express

Wondering if anyone tested before.
I ate there twice. Twice also at Esplanade. The foods are good. When you look at their Tom Yam. It looks just like 清汤. But becareful. It's very very powderful. I almost choke tiok when I drank it.
Foods there are very special, expecially starters and desserts. The dessert you all try. Very nice. And those skinny one, if you wish to gain weight, I think it'll help a lot. Most of their dessert make from 'super thick' coconut milk. Taste so yummy.
Price wise everage. Dessert is a bit ex lor. Main course is pretty reasonable. But please try their dessert. That's the most imporatant one I think.

not just the tom yam... quite a # of dishes quite *power*. but then again i may have a relatively lower tolerance for spicy food. nevertheless it was quite a refreshing dining experience with the DIY self ordering

just tried their tom yum seafood tonite... wah piangs, looks can be deceiving... its so spicy and hot! I used up half a pack of tissues hehe

also tried the soft shelf crab... not too bad :D

and also tried their Tofu Square... quite nice, the tofu very crispy fried.

drank their watermelon juice, a bit too swett, not sure if its totally 100% juice with the syrup...

overall i rate them 8/10

by the way Simply Thai's tom yum soup also very spicy and look 'harmless' too.

I also recommend you the Tuk Tuk restarunt at suntec, 3rd level next to courts... the tom yum soup looks very spicy and hot but when you drink it, its only half the spicy level of Thai Express and Simply Thai... a good variety of dishes too And free flow of steamed rice...
