The rest of the station i can get 5 points max, but becos i fail standing broad jump, i have to go RT which is very stupid.
Sometme jump and reach 216 pass, sometime jump 198 which i fail and go RT.

Anyway to train Standing broad jump effectively???

You saying i short...
Anyway, do this when u jump:

1. Be prepare,
2. focus far
3. swing 1 time back for momenteum
4. the second swing, jump hard
5. Tuck your legs in
6. Float and land.

Now either go to 7 or 8
7. Don't move. wait for measurement taking
8. Prepare for medic. You land on your head.

9. The above ain't a joke. I'm serious.

actually whether you can jump far or not has got nothing to do with your height
i got a friend who is only 164 but he can jump more than 245
you just have to keep practising your SBJ on a regular basis.
problem with a lot of people; they stop trying after a few attempts and they say to themselves "i cannot jump leh" and they walk off.

you seldom get blacks or angmoh at that height.
anyway why talk about NBA when we are talking about SBJ in the 1st place?????
i just want to tell you height has got nothing to do with whether you can jump far during SBJ.
i have seen very tall people failing their SBJ
SBJ is all about your legs muscular power.
and before you want to argue your stand in your next post
i think it will be better for you to note that
you are now talking to a QUALIFIED IPPT TESTER
and a QUALIFIED PTI

Is it really necessary to let the whole world know that u are PTI?
I have seen PTI fail Ippt also during my reservist.
I have also seen PTI get beaten up by NOT SO FIT PPL in Unarmed combats during my ns times in sispec.

Actually What wklee mentioned is true.

It's not a matter of ht when comes to doing SBJ.

I also come across pple who are 164cm & can jump up to 243 while some TALL pple who are at least 180 cm can failed their SBJ.

It's all lies in the strength power of the legs & the thighs area. Cos you exert & use more force from the thighs area in order to jump FAR.
And some pple with FAT thighs couldnt jump far as well.

Beside tuck jump, is there any better traingn method??

It is not convenient to practsie tuck jump at home , cos it will cause noise trouble to my neighbour living below my storey , u see.
Doing tuck jump in public places like in jogging park is also quite paisei.

i try skipping ropes , no effect also leh.
try climbing staircase also not much use.

well....i think you are really running out of reasons
first i tell you height does not matter whether you can jump far or not because i have friend who is not tall but can jump far
then you tell me you never seen short people played in NBA
so where is the logic???
now i am telling you i am a qualified PTI because i want to let you know that whatever i am saying is true.
then you tell me whatever is in the above quote.
so are you trying to pick some arguments here or looking for advice to improve your SBJ????
AND what has unarmed combat got to do with fitness????
fitness does't mean a person can fight well.
and a person who fights well doesn't mean he is fit in IPPT.
and for PTI who failed in ippt is because he never train but it doesn't mean he don't know the proper method of training.
