Murders do happen in hotel rooms..
what about suicides? :nervous:
I am sure people on holiday wouldn't want to pick such rooms unless they are thrill seekers or are they duped into getting the rooms?
Now, with this thread, let's work together to uncover the mysteries of haunted rooms.
Did you stay in a room that made you feel extremely uneasy? Fell free to write the room number and hotel name(pls do not write the exact name so as to protect the privacy of the hotel) here.

Let me get the ball rolling,

I guess this is a singapore 5 *hotel (The O______). In room 910, a japanese tourist was brutally murdered. Her jaws was dislocated and blood bled profusely out of her until she died.

All resorts and hotels in Sentosa are dirty, even on the island itself. Ask anyone who work there and they will agreed with you.

It all depends on your luck. Heard alot of encounters from guests and collegues when I worked there. However, when i stayed there for 1 nite with my family, we didn't encounter anything. I worked there for 2.5 years and did my nite duty and didn't experience anything.

During the ww2, the japanese attacked singapore thru sentosa. The birtish tot tat they will attack us from jb, thus alot of people were killed. Before Sentosa was named, it was called "pulau belakang mati" means die from behind island.

how come ask anyone who work there they got something to share but u work there u did not experience it?

Of course, not all will experience lah. Anyone who work there will hear stories and experiences from their colleagues what, like me.

My colleague saw a man sitting with both hands on the armrest on my office chair around 10 plus when she worked late.

One of the tour guide told us that the balcony door kept opening and close during the nite when she slept.

One of the staff when checking room, the balcony door opened by itself and he went to close and it opened again.

a group of filipinoes was taking photos in the room and the digital camera showed a shadow beside them. They deleted and retake again and saw the shadow again.

These experiences were told and happened when i worked there.

Also one of the ex Sentosa staff told me that their old office in the building of ferry terminal (now demolished to give way to new RI) was haunted too. Have to leave by 7.30pm if not the papers will start flying around.

eh since when did the Japs attack from Sentosa area, the japs came from jb lah. You got study history anot. The british thought the Japs will attack from Sentosa but the japs did not, they attacked through JB. FYI there was not a single battle in the Island Of Sentosa.

sentosa was called pulau belakang mati cos during the occupation, the japs threw the bodies there, n there was oso mass execution via the firing squad. so when the p.o.ws got taken to sentosa, they never came back, dats y its called pulau belakang mati

dat explains the severe haunting as well i guess...

Got this from a HK web :

Do's and Don'ts while checking into Hotel......

Here is the translated version :
1. Before you enter the room for the very first time, do ring the doorbell or knock on the door, and it would be good to say “Excuse me, I’m here to stay” or “Sorry for the disturbance”. It is better if you can say that in the native language of the country you are visiting.
2. After which, do enter the room via sideway for the very first entry. That’s to allow the spirits to leave (as you would not want to knock onto IT head on).
3. Prepare a pair of slippers (one up and one down) at the doorway. This would allow the spirits to leave with the slippers.
4. On the bedside table, it is good to place a small amount of Salt and a Glass of water, which can chase away the spirits.
5. Wash the toilet bowl before you use it for the very first time. That is to be ‘CLEAN”.
6. Do not touch the bible (in regardless if it is left open to a certain page, or fully closed) in the room.
7. Avoid wearing Black or Red clothes. Yellow is much preferred as it is believed that this color will chase the spirits away.
8. Close the toilet door when you sleep in the night. The Chinese passage above said it is better to OFF the light, which I think it maybe a printed error. I remembered clearly (from the old email) that you should try leaving some dim lights on, and the toilet light is much preferred, and do not close the door fully.
9. Try not to face the mirror while you sleep. This is true even in house fengshui, which is no good for your own spiritual. But sometimes, there’s no choice in Hotel Rooms as it is being designed as this way. So, I would personally think you should get an extra bedsheet or blanket to cover up the dressing table mirror if it faces your bed directly.
10. During bedtime, get your shoes or slippers (one facing up and another down), and do not place them near to your bed. The room should not be too neat. Make a little mess will help.
11. This is additional from myself, which I can remember. Sometimes, the room you check in which is a twin bed, do place something (maybe your luggage) onto that extra bed. Keep it occupy so that spirit will not have a chance to sleep beside you.

 wrong la... wonder so many peoples go sentosa but without knowing the history... sad.. :.(

here is the sentosa history..

Where Pirates Once Lurked …

The history of the island of Blakang Mati is shrouded in legend and mystery. Even the name is ominous – “blakang mati” (old spelling of ‘belakang’) in Malay means "death from behind", possibly an allusion to an unexpected death. Prior to the British arrival in the 19th century, the island was rumoured by some to be a pirates’ lair; by others to be the site of a great battle between pirates and the local inhabitants.

The most persistent story is that of a large granite outcrop that once stood at the narrowest end of the straits between Blakang Mati (at Siloso Point) and the main Singapore island (at Labrador). Said to mark the boundary of pirate-infested waters, this landmark was variously known as Long Ya Men (Chinese for “dragon’s tooth gate”, a name that dates back to the 14th century), Batu Berlayer (Malay for “sailing rock”) and Lot’s Wife. It was blown up by the British in the mid-19th century to widen the channel to the harbour.

Pirate tales aside, little is known about Blakang Mati or the parade square area. Besides an 1846 map showing pineapple cultivation in this area, the only other clues to the past are the artefacts found by archaeologists, revealing facets of military garrison life from the late 19th century through the 1960s.

The Military Takes Over

The bulk of the soldiers stationed on Blakang Mati were artillerymen manning the coastal defence guns at Fort Siloso, Fort Connaught, Fort Serapong and Imbiah Battery. At the time of the outbreak of WWII in the Pacific (December 1941), Singapore was prized as the most fortified British possession in the East. With its airfields, large naval base built to service the fleet and numerous coastal gun batteries, it seemed to be an impregnable stronghold.

In truth, it was hardly that well-defended. The giant naval base had no warships, and the airfields were littered with obsolete planes that had been rejected for service in Britain. Perhaps the only teeth in “Fortress Singapore” were the coastal defence artillery, which held the greatest concentration of heavy artillery outside the UK and boasted five of the largest calibre guns (15 inch) in the Empire. This posed a sufficient threat to prompt the Japanese to undertake a long overland attack through the Malay Peninsula, rather than risk an invasion by sea that might be bombarded by these guns.

When war did arrive at Singapore, the guns of Blakang Mati saw their share of action, firing away overland during the last three frenzied days of battle. But they were not enough to turn the tide. The British surrendered on 15 February 1942, and the gun batteries were blown up or deliberately broken up to prevent them from falling into Japanese hands.

Blakang Mati continued to be a home to the artillery gunners as the Japanese used the island as a prisoner of war (POW) camp during the Occupation. Following the Japanese surrender in 1945, these roles were reversed and the former captors became POWS on the very same island.

Post-War and the Withdrawal of the British

After WWII, the parade square served as a staging area for other military units heading off to the front during the Malayan Emergency (1948–1960), and Konfrontasi (Confrontation) with Indonesia (1963–1965). 1959 marked a turning point in British governance in Singapore: the island-state was granted autonomous self-government and would join Malaysia in 1963. At the same time, the British were planning to withdraw its military forces from the region, although it still had to maintain a sizeable presence to tackle ongoing conflicts like the Malayan Emergency (until 1960) and Konfrontasi (Confrontation, 1963–1965).

With Singapore’s independence in 1965 as well as the end of Konfrontasi, Britain proposed to pull out its forces from Singapore by the mid-1970s. However, economic stagnation back home led the British government to speed up this withdrawal, which was completed by December 1971. Existing military facilities were transferred to the government of Singapore and Blakang Mati became a training ground for the new Singapore Armed Forces.

The British withdrawal also had severe economic consequences for Singapore. The bases had generated some 20% of the island-state’s GDP and provided over 70,000 jobs, both directly and in terms of services supporting the military. To counter these losses after the British left, Singapore drew up plans to diversify its economy, including plans to convert Blakang Mati into an island resort for both tourists and locals.

In 1972, the island was renamed Sentosa (which means “tranquility” in Malay). Within a few years, a golf course was constructed and several attractions, including Fort Siloso, were opened

But sometimes, there’s no choice in Hotel Rooms as it is being designed as this way. So, I would personally think you should get an extra bedsheet or blanket to cover up the dressing table mirror if it faces your bed directly.

so far, i have stayed in hotels with white bedsheet and blanket....
if to cover with white blanket.... kaoz.....

it all depand on personal opinion to do it anot... those peoples do experience it, so they choose to believe it n do spend some times do it..

if u don't believe can just ignore it...

there is no need to disagree with sky_liner2 tips, i believe he also find it on the web itself... he is just sharing it to peoples here and not asking it a must to do it..

I guessed it's not just commoners afraid of meeting the souls. They probably sort of repeat what they do over and over again?

So Guys/Gals, please do them a favour (if you are still sane) help them out.

Thanks :yo:

Yes, I found it from web and sharing to all.

But some of those I knew before I got it from another forum, like knocking on the door for the 1st time entry, leave some lights on, mirror matter....all up to each to believe. If you are strong in your positive energy, need not worry about all this 'NONSENSES'.
