the phones that are coming out today are just about equal in features their phones has to offer, like the colored display, long batt life, cool design... unlike before on the black display nokia was the clear winner. now that everything seems to be equal which would you think we, customers, would choose depending on the preference we choose on the hp the company would offer us. as we can see in the matrix reloaded where in matrix it was nokia 8110 now in reloaded its samsung. so is it going to be nokia, sony ericsson, samsung, motorola or some other brand.

i have used motorola, panasonic, philips, sony ericsson, but i found nokia to be easy to use among the rest. they have odd keypad layout but some people still buy the dam unit, if its your phone you will learn to use the phone. i found 7210 keypad to be very difficult to do anything, but my friend who has that unit says it easy he got used to it, now he texting like it just the same with other phones. as for the display, if they use 65k the prices would go higher that no ppl could afford it, samsung has their own production for lcd, they have flat lcd monitor, tv so its cheap for them to make those things. but your entitled to your opinion and its well taken ;)

i would say nokia is getting worse on their software, assembly, and some hardware. the "made by nokia" phones are the crappy phones that i have encountered. my "made in finland" phones are good as brand new, never been repaired or open, so i sold them at a higher price. i have no problem what so ever with the finland phones. singapore is lucky because you get to choose between finland or germany phones and made by nokia. here in our country finland or germany is a dying race its very hard to find it made to order and its a lot more expensive.

here in my country ever since gsm was intro here nokia was one of the brands that was intro here, ppl since use the i think it was 2110, 3810, the most well known was the 8110, only the high class ppl here could afford the dam phone. middle class ppl was force to use philips, bosch, other alternative phone. now nokia has gone cheaper everywhere you look here ppl are holding nokia phones, only the laborer are force to use other brand. but there are still ppl with low income using nokia phones somehow.

65k, 4k... if you look at it i think the difference is insignificant. in nokia you can still see the pic, nice, the color is still there. try downloading my michael jordan wallpaper on my wap site to your nokia phone, you can still see the color fade from dark to light. i mean the difference is not that BIG unlike 256 and 4k now theres a major difference. and the batt life on 65k would be horrible. i'm just adjusting from my 8210 1 week batt life to 3-4 days 6100.

for those who are complaining about nokia bugs, have you ever stop to think about the past. i notice only the phones that has new features has the bugs in their os or hardware. like 3310, i think it was the first phone to have the screen saver and animation menu i think, it was even dub here as "33hang" because it always hangs, but after that the succeding models were fine, like the 8850, 8210, 3315... never heard complains about those phones. the 8310 the first with radio, a lot of problems with its firmware, it could erase the whole entry in your phonebook, now the 6510 it has no problems at all. 7110 the first WAP phone, a lot of problems as well, after that 6210 was out no problems as well. as you know the 6610, 7210, 6100... are their test phones, get all the problems and make corrections on the next phones. we have all this problems because its the first colored phones for nokia, besides 9110, 9210. if you don't want this problems then wait for future models where some of the problems are already corrected.

The service at Wheelock is not very good...

If any problems, better to take to Toh Guan instead. The people there more helpful and professional.

Had a T200 with a problem once. They change the mother board for me on the spot, no questions asked... all-in about half an hour... phone perfect after that!... :)

Nokia lacks the advance technology in Samsung but I guess the fanbase around the world has been established.Nokia has already convinced these long time Nokia users that nokia would be the only choice of hps they need even tho new exciting models are coming out from other brands.At the end of the day, I think Nokia makes their phones an artpiece and not just some other electronic gadget.They breathe soul into their phones..Just my 2 cents

as what i've read here all products has problems, it all goes down to us customers on what we are looking for in a phone. if your use to one, why change to another brand where the brand you are using now has no major problem. ;)

i think nokia phones are the fastest phones whos prices drop rock bottom:( when i bought my unit it took only 2-3wks for it to go down about 20-25%. if ever new units are release wait for it to drop and buy it. i learn the hard way waste of money

quiet true but the industry is very unstable they could be down next time around, i read some where that sony is going to be contributing if not producing the screen for the sony ericsson phones and samsung is not far behind, but nokia has more users who are not going to transfer like the old or middle age ppl.

nokia will still be no 1 for a few years to come due to its popularity among teenagers. but i guess samsung will soon catch up with nokia with LG coming in third.
