i been to 1 shopping area n there're so many shops selling hp (original, imported and used 1), all in one place, really interesting. There're oso some other places like our chinatown, oso many shops selling hp, see until :rolleyes:

HK is a free market and most of the time, u can find many latest hp over there :cool:

Z600 is simply the clamshell version of T610 and T630 would be the sportive version of T610, found they are having so many things in common!!! the only different is the market segmentation!!!!!

different place got different name for the same model!!!
like 3660 is for asia and 3620 is for U.S
T620 in EURO and T630 in A.P
so.... they are same things mate

still remember the time when 3650 & 7250 ($600+) within the same price range?

aiya, they compare phones is not juz based on its Operating Software programme, other factors would play a role in their decision...for example, is it very buggy as complained by other users in other regions, its camera functions (whether it's worth the money to have the camera), and also the $ factor, among some...if juz compare whether it's symbian or not, that's it's pretty unfair to the handphone production team for 6230...Of coz, 6600 is still a better choice if u have the $, but if u go for simplicity in phone, as in needing the basic needs of juz sms and call+u wan all those camera and radio functions, then u go for 6230 lorz...

there aren't many applications for 6230...
based for basic features.. my guess is that there're almost identical...
but 6600 can install applications to suit your needs.. so therefore 6600 is better in this area..

and yes.. no radio for 6600.. that's y i kept my 7250..

Aiya...depends on individual's criteria of phone loh....some may like 6600 for its functionality but it's too bulky to hold esp for girls...

others like 6230 for its sleekness and weight....design -wise, i tink it's better than 6600...
functions-wise, definitely lose to 6600...then again...u can always invest in a PDA....

i find that it's better to have specific devices for specific usage....then you won't face the situation of 1 device spoil = all devices spoil if you intend to get all-in-one type....
handphone is ultimately used for making calls.....more for communication then leisure....

imo, if a phone has more functions compare to one that dont have as much, and both cost the same price.... eg. 6600 & 6230

I've 2 say tat its all depend on personal preferences loh. 1 wld go 4 more features n some may look into the size and design lor, IMO!
some ppl may sacrify additional features for size n design which dey tink is good enough, such as 4 my case, keke...!

Well this phone is able to listen to radio, MP3 music, take picture, take short video, video player.

Same as other series40 phone.. playing radio is like 6610, 6220, 7250i.. u need ur headset to be connected to the pop port ...

Surprising the MP3 played is quite clear and nice ... better than 6600 mono sound :) ...

Taking picture .... bad thing is that ... it dun have digital zoom.. but the quality for the pic still can make it lar hehee... dun expect too much for a superb quality of coz ..

Video Recording ... you can oni record 15s of short video clip for default setting but you can change the setting to "maximum" to allow unlimited recording (depend on memory) which and the quality is kind of sux

The phone has 8.8MB of shared memory which should be sufficient for most users and it come with a MMC expansion slot which is mostly for MP3/Video for most user ...

Supporting 24 chord polyphonic ... but this phone support mp3 ringtone.. so wat's the point to have a polyphonic then? hehehe.. so next time u can expect a lot of singing in the mrt/bus liao lol....

Java... same as all the nokia colour phone .. in phone .. 2 game is included Beach Rally II & Golf ..
But I definitely like the java application that is included in the phone ... Converter II, Mobile Karaoke (make me think of motorola ..), Translator (Superb ! I like this English - Chinese dictionary !) and World Clock II

Bluetooth
I dun face much issue with 6230's bluetooth... it can send file / receive file easily from my pc ... and one thing good is that when I use a BT headset (tested with hbh200) .. the ringtone finally come out from the phone instead from the headset liao.. i hate it when i am using Ngage n Nokia 6600

Bug
The only bug I encounter now is that I am unable to select the caller group ... it will jump back to the main menu whenever i select it ..

Conclusion
Price around $788 without plan ... it really depend on what you wan ... some pple may argue that Nokia 6600 is far better than this ... but everyone have their own preference for mobilephone ba ... for me I definitely dun like the size for 6600 ... maybe a simple phone like this do suit me well ...

N6600 can install 3rd party applications which N6230 can't. With more and more application coming out ultimately N6600 will have more "functions" than N6230.

eg: N6600 can read word doc with 3 party applications. N6230 can't.

Depending on what are you needs actually. Both are good phones to have if you ask me.

I got questions regarding the mp3 playing in N6230.

1)Can the show the titles of the mp3 that it is playing?
2)Does it show the title if the mp3 is chinese or some funny characters?
3)I read from hardwarezone that BT headset V3 can receive the mp3 while N6230 is playing it. Anyone here can test and see if it's true?

I am still weighing the pros and cons of the phone. Still looking for that extra push to make me get the phone. ARGH why does it have to be a series 40 phone!! :cry1:
