Genting hauntings

Genting is well known for hauntings cause when people go there and gamble, they lose money then jump :(
Anyway, last year I went there, I stayed at the sixteen floor, can't remember which hotel. I went with my cca people. Around 100. stayed at 16 floor. Dunno why the floor number was painted red in the lift and at the lift door. First night nothing happened to me. But then on the second, I heard someone breathing beside my bed!!!!! Then I got damn scare, run down the hallway to my friend's room. On the way there like got fingers running down my body and feel as if someone is looking at me. When i got there, already have some people there all got the same thing. Some even say got someone whistle in their toilet and stopped once they opened the door and also someone whistling outside the window. Then someone at the corner room fell very sick. The doctors couldn't do anything and he got diarrhea non stop and turned very pale. (corner rooms usually the most :ls: )so the hauntings went on and i dun dare go back to my room. Some rooms nothing wrong at all and had this picture of trees and some how the branches intersect to make crosses maybe that explains why nothing happened there. Anyway, there was this cathlic who knew some ghost busting. He cleansed the sick boy's room and he got better the next day. I stayed in his room through the night asit was protected by his holy water and spells. Then i saw this black sort of mist at the door that couldn't come in(very scary!!!) and at night something kept knocking against the window and can't come in. At least i was safe.
So glad that i'm home :) anyway, the room numbers where all these happened all were starting with 666(the satan's symbol or number of some sort)

Me juz came back on Sunday..Hmmm.....i heard some of the stories too... Those happened at First World..... I went 3 times.... but i usually stayed at Genting Hotel. :grin:

first nite.. her bf sleep and she was watching tv on the bed.. soon..she saw someone look at her..and face was moving closer to her.. keep moving her head and saw my fren in chinese.. HAO WAN MA HAO WAN MA( means fun anot).

then she freak out.. slowly pretend sleepy and hid under the blanket and said some players to sleep.

the next day.. they check out and check to another hotel..

And...we have a similar building in singapore, which is also painted in several colours.

From what i had seen and heard, the building is opp the Funan Centre.
As for the diff colours, it is to appease the different races and religion of spirits.

any strange drafts of air lor. and you will surely feel it if it's haunted
you can also try to claim the room.
Just sprinkle salt in all the corners of the room and like say "excuse me, lend me the room for ... nights" and dun try to disturb them unless they disturb you. Like dun chant some spells or anything unless they harm you.

anyway the feeling that something is around i actually when y hear the ambience noise being blocked by some object example you hold a piece of paper beside your ear, the noise around you gets blocked and you feel that something is there i think that's what we call the sixth sense in scientific terms.

the feeling of something is around is also sometimes due to low frequency sounds like deep low drummings probably produced by winds (genting got high winds)

to explain why it's cold when this place is haunted:
when a violent event such as murder occurs, a person's brain sends out a distress signal that so far hasn't been scientifically proven. it's the same logic as people who have telepathic abilities
these signals are a form of enegy, they can stay for long by absorbing the surrounding energy where most of it comes from heat that's why the room becomes cold when all the heat energy is absorbed
a person who believes in such things can actually tune their brain in to these signals and create the image of the ghost

Before First World was built, my friend encountered it in another hotel there....... he saw a man's shadow ran across his window. At first he thought it was a thief trying to break into his room, but he realised later no balcony for his room how the man ran outside? It seems to me all the hotels there have "special guests" inside. :|

Even australia also, forgot who i know went to australia then at night the roof got sound like someone throwing stones then found ou later that it always happened... some sort of spirit
If the man run outside means it's no big deal, it's just a psychic image of what happened, means that it's like a historical video registering what happened at that time and playing back again. So it should have a balcony or something there before then removed but when the image replay the man will run past seemingly on air. So don't need to be afraid :)

Surfing the net to verify what I just heard, i chanced upon this forum on Gentings Haunting.

Sunday (11-July-04) evenings, my mother-in-law came back from Gentings with her mum, brother and his wife and his son and his daughter-in-law.
They got first hand experience with the hauntings at First World Hotel.

First my mother-in-law's sister-in-law saw a image being knocked down when the bus drove into the hotel lobby entrance. She got startled, and yelled, but 2 drivers said they saw nothing.
What she saw was a lady in white holding hands with a young girl in somewhat PAP kindergarden uniform crossing the small lane next to the hotel.

After some delays in check-in process, they moved their allocated rooms.
When my aunt-in-law stepped into her own room, she saw again this two things drifted away.. She told this incident to the whole family there. This foul the mood of the whole family group of 6. My mum-in-law shared with her mum, while her bro stay with his wife another room next door, and another for the couple's recently married son and daughter-in-law (supposely cheap honeymoon).

Being a non hardcore gambler, the elderly 80+ years old grandmum-in-law stay alone in hotel sleeping after a whole afternoon feasting, shopping and a short glimpse of casino, while the rest stayed in casino.

During her sleep, she was already sound asleep when she was swept off the bed, and being thrown towards the wall badly bruising half her face, and land on the hard floor. She landed on her face, nose bleed. Though not seriously injured, but very traumatised.

Upon hearing this piece of bad news, I dropped the idea of staying at First World Hotel which I had intended to go this coming August (before Lunar 7th month). Now I had to find alternate accomodations.

This is 100% straight from my mother-in-law living in my house.

My wife also said this "mother-and-daughter" ghost incident happened to her former collegue's gentings trips around 9 to 10 years ago.
Happened in the former hotel which First World Hotel was built on. While the couple went to the casino, their maid babysit the 2 kids to sleep in the bed, the maid was sleeping on the bed edge, as she opened her eyes and saw this two same ghost sleeping on the cold floor. The mother ghost was staring at her. The maid screamed and took the kids and her stuff and ran out until she was stopped by a security guard doing round...

From my wife hearsay source, this mother-n-daughter ghosts had been around over 10 years, were said to be a Singaporean lady commit suicide at tthe hotel along with her toddler daughter.

Bahh~After reading all the post about genting here,somehow i got real freaked out.I'm supposed to go to genting soon!Now...abit scare liao haha.Anyway,what i always do before i enter a hotel room,before i open the room,i'll knock on the door (to notify "them" that we're coming in) open the door and say sorry to disturb i only came to "Jie shu" then always put the shoes in opposite way.Not sure whether this really works anot,but who cares.At least by doing this i'll feel more at ease. :laugh:

i just came back from genting (first world hotel) 2 wks back. so far i am someone who cant detect any of these sightings. but they seem to have this loud noisy sound. my room mate says prob it is the water generator...sometimes right in the middle of the night will just shock me in the midst of my sleep.

but oh well i do feel scared coz heard of hotel ghost stories...ew. but at then i was already too tired to take note. Anyway i only slept a few hrs that day...so very tired.

had lunch with fren yesterday, told me she knew of some1 really SUAY to kanna found abody underneath the bed..but was after sleeping for 2 days!!

aiyo u all scarin urself only by hearin those ghost stories....some maybe fabricated n not true at all.....when u go there for holiday dun do anythin stupid or for the sake of fun go disturb them n anger those ghosts jus leave them alone they will not bother u....some ghost do not noe they are dead jus enlighten them that they're dead n shud leave this world but usually they haf unfinished business.....either lend them a hand if possible or see wat u can do within ur means n do not ask for benefits after u help them or accept when they offer u usually u wont get but u will meet ur doom....usually these type of ghost or spirits are harmless so need not worry...for those visitin casions hoping to get better luck n seek their help better dun cos even if u do u wont haf the life to spend them.....if u met some devils or demons then abit hard to settle but such cases in ur life is like 0.5% u will not meet them unless u purposely seek them out....if u're a person of strong faith u may haf the ability to deal wif them if not run n find someone who can....well for me been to genting but nothin happened very peaceful....i can even walk in the middle of nite to explore the nite scene of genting

few yrs back, me and my cousins went genting with their families (my parents didnt go).. happened on the first nite, me and my cousins had a quarrel. and i went back to hotel room on my own. few hrs later, they came back looking for me and we "patched" things up. happened to walk past that hotel lobby and i told them the eerie stuffs dat happened that hotel(my friend told me). they were like so shocked because earlier on when they were looking for food to eat (ard 2am) and they recalled that there is this stall at the basement which opens 24 hours. but i guess they took the wrong lift n took the cargo lift instead. initially the lift stops at B4, they went out of the lift and went into the lift after realising that place was empty. before the lift's door closed,they caught the sight of a security guard, with his face turning very white, like trying to stop them from going down. but too late, the door had already closed. so they went down to b6.. out the lift door, they realised they got the wrong place again.. this time, they pressed the button for the lift, first lift came down but it kept opening and closing.. they were unable to exit. so they tried to walk up the stairs.. but the stairs were so dirty and smelly dat they rather wait for another lift to come down. they waited for very long time.. and finally, the security guard thy saw earlier on came down wif his another colleague.. they didnt even dare to step out of the lift n hurried them to step into the lift and asked them what are they doing there. imagine, if the security guard didnt see them earlier on, i wouldnt.. wat will happen.. There was a rumour that there was this woman who actually committed suicide at the old bus terminal(where coaches stop to pick up visitors ). Even if u bypass the security check to take the cargo lift (the lobby of the hotel is brown in colour), u wont be able to access to b6. My cousin told me that she felt alot of eyes were starring at her when she was in the lift (at that point of time they didnt know about the rumour)

ard 1am like tat he was bathing in the bathtub( the bathtub was full of water also), he was bending down his head into the water to wash his hair then he caught a shadow behind him, (spooky, cos there no one else in the toilet, rest are sleepin), he quickly let the water out n stop bathing
another funny thing is tat while letting the water out, the stopper is stuck on the top (and its quite firm), the stopper drop down and fall rite into the hole like the thing is tryin to stop the water fm draining away so it could make my friend drown again :nervous:

think it's common bah...coz the pressure sucking the stopper so it's hard to pull it out to drain the water.

If the man run outside means it's no big deal, it's just a psychic image of what happened, means that it's like a historical video registering what happened at that time and playing back again. So it should have a balcony or something there before then removed but when the image replay the man will run past seemingly on air. So don't need to be afraid :)

the stopper is on top of the bath tub suck firmly, theres no chance it can fall down, i don mean it is inside the water, its outside of the tub stuck to the boder of the tub.......

A piece of advice for those staying in hotel. Put your shoe 1 facing up and 1 facing down at your bedside coz it been told that ghost cant process you and keep toilet light on all time. Before open the hotel door give a knock 1st then open the door it is to inform the ghost there if any that you coming in as a form of respect and while u in the hotel room open all curtains to let sun come in....then inside your heart you might want to address all big brother or big sister that you be staying at this room for how many night and dont disturb you....I been doing this while Im staying at hotel so far nothing happened...so no harm trying right? :p

well sometimes the family member u staying with got "sa qi" then the ghost wont dare to near u lor....or sometimes many 3 ppl stay in 1 room the "yang qi" is more then "yin qi" so u be safe... :grin:

Been to Genting frequently for the past 15 years and still have not encountered any of these things (Not that I want to encounter them anyway). First World hotel, Ria Apartment and Hotel Highland are the hotels I used to stay before and haven't encountered anything yet.

hehehe yeah, i was told loads of scary stories about the hotels. i stayed at the top floor in first world hotel too. nothing happened during my stay. oh, beides someone leaving the lights and the window open, so there were massive butterflies and little tiny bugs all around the furniture and ceiling... now that was scary!!! but yeah, the windows dont fully open, but it was open wide enough for bugs to fly in, again, very scary indeed!!

the indoor/outdoor theme part was cool, and the shopping centre too- very convenient hehehe loved snow world, had a wicked snow fight hehehe ^o*

Dunno why the floor number was painted red in the lift and at the lift door. First night nothing happened to me. But then on the second, I heard someone breathing beside my bed!!!!! Then I got damn scare, run down the hallway to my friend's room. On the way there like got fingers running down my body and feel as if someone is looking at me. When i got there, already have some people there all got the same thing. Some even say got someone whistle in their toilet and stopped once they opened the door and also someone whistling outside the window. Then someone at the corner room fell very sick. The doctors couldn't do anything and he got diarrhea non stop and turned very pale. (corner rooms usually the most :ls: )so the hauntings went on and i dun dare go back to my room. Some rooms nothing wrong at all and had this picture of trees and some how the branches intersect to make crosses maybe that explains why nothing happened there. Anyway, there was this cathlic who knew some ghost busting. He cleansed the sick boy's room and he got better the next day. I stayed in his room through the night asit was protected by his holy water and spells. Then i saw this black sort of mist at the door that couldn't come in(very scary!!!) and at night something kept knocking against the window and can't come in. At least i was safe.
So glad that i'm home :) anyway, the room numbers where all these happened all were starting with 666(the satan's symbol or number of some sort)

Went to Genitng with sibilings last yr June and stay at 1st World Hotel, given last room near the staircase.Changed room next day... too errie to stay.

One early morning around 1am++ when i was at the internet shop above Pizza Hut, after surfing for an hr, WOW... :sweat: suddenly a lady spirit in white appeared from no where sitting just 2 tables distance away from me. ( I was surfing outside the shop).


This year March 2011, went Genting again with my 2 buddies. Stay at 1st World Hotel Tower 2 for 2nites (Room 06833) jus outside the Lift area, many disturbances occurred.
Checked in around 4.30am, in bed around 5.15am and OFF ALL THE LIGHTS.

1) As we were laying down side by side and after 20-30mins, suddenly the water kettle can boiled itself. You could hear the sound of boiling water and see the indicator light turn to red in the dark.
(You need to press down the switch at the kettle for boiling - WHO PRESSED IT ?) :confused:

2) 2nd day , things getting worst, suddenly bathroom become misty andl ight become so dim. We can really sense SOMEONE is staring at us when we are showering. I bathed and washed my hair quickly with my eyes opened wide wide....

3) My frd told me he kept hearing Tic-Tac sound just like someone was playing at the on/off switch button the whole nite. His blanket had been slightly pulled away by SOMEONE too.

4) The whole nite we could hear - scratching,tapping,knocking sound near or inside the bathroom. :faint:

5) I saw a tall black huge figure near the bathroom staring at us and heard footsteps sound around the bed.
I decided to get out of the room and loitering at the Casino till it is morning. It's too scary to stay in the room, as for my frds they are just too tired to care.
The 3rd day we checked out and headed back to SIN.
Well i'm sure i will go to Genting again, i just like the weather there....
