hmm. i was alone at home when i was watching it. didnt really feel too much if you ask me... cos the scare factor wasnt really that good in the show. could have been better :p

Boh bian what... i think we have a limited budget and cannot install those hollywood type of special effects inside... :grin: But i think it can be made more scary, if the show was filmed inside the real home or scene instead loh... or maybe put up some night cameras and heat detector to check for temperature irregularities or any paranormal activities to investigate loh and see if its really that spooky... :ls:

wat happen was tis grp of recruits was at the forest, den got 1 guy called Lim who was very sick.. but they didnt approved his MC so he no choice hab to go forest n join them for trainining.. but the corporal didnt noe so he tot total only 11 pple instead of 12.. cuz Lim didnt join them in the 1st place... he joined them halfway throu.. so the corporal headcount only 11... but Lim was very sick so he told his campmates to go ahead, and he will catch up wif them.. but after 2hrs Lim didnt appear and the campmates were very worried so they told their corporal... all of them got worried and start to search for Lim in the forest but couldnt find.. den i tink the next nite den they found Lim at the forest wif his intestines and rifle placed nicely beside him, wif no blood.. body was cut nicely... since tat nite, everyone is the bunk got nitemares and hear ppl calling their names.. the worse was the guy who slept above Lim bed... he encounter many weird things n i tink he become crazy n commit suicide in the toilet... the rest of the recruits in the bunk was scared n worried so they told their corporal wat happen... end up they call a taoist priest to see the bunk and he advised them to build a door for the spirit to go out... cuz the spirit couldnt get out of the bunk.. so they built the 3rd door and since after tat, no strange things happen liao....

End of story... pardon me for my broken english... :p :p

reminds me of a story i heard from my buddy in camp last time...
he say got once he drink with his frens at some coffeshop or something... then late at night he abit drunk walk to main road get cab... then nearby the void deck is got funeral one... then he just wait until he got the cab, then he got in the cab...

then the driver give him weird look... then halfway thru the journey the driver
told him that he think got something follow my fren... but he say nvm, he will drive my fren to his home then wash his cab... then advise my fren to go some temple or what... then the cab suddenly got fragipani (dunno how to spell, haha) smell, then got a gust of cold "wind" blow past them... (the cab windows were closed!!!) :hairise: both of them kept quiet after that...

then my fren know it's real and he just say thank you to the driver... but too tired and drunk, so he just go home and sleep, morning wake up very sick, i think got fever or something(maybe the beer, maybe the ghost, i dunno...)... then he go pray pray drink the talisman water and everything then ok liao... =)

I don't really like the series so far. Even in the Third Door eps they didn't get all the information correct despite interviewing with Ah Toh (one of our SPI agent). It seems like they only want to make it "incredible" but didn't bother to check the truth. The taxi driver case of the lady ghost for example, it should be possible to track down police record, or at least newspaper record of any such incident. But the 13th episode should feature SPI investigation if everything proceeds according to plan.

tampines road? old tampines road u mean? Old Tampines Road is really "dirty" alot of drivers avoided that place at night cos there is a story that a lady from malaysia which was raped and murdered and was buried at Tampines Road in the 1980s.

yap....that is the one of the many stories of Tampines Road. Well my one of my uncle used to b a taxi driver, according to him, he was finishing his day already at past midnight which happened to go past this stretch of road. He claimed he saw an old lady trying to flag him down.... but he said that his instinct told him not to stop which he didnt.... after going past the old lady, he looked into his rear mirror, there is no one at the place which he thinks he saw the old lady.... and he speds off fast and was caught by police for speeding later :rolleyes:

there is even saying that the temples built around there is to "take care" of those things around the area which i found it a bit hard to believe :laugh:

the first part was scary.. i watched it alone and was scared.. i cant forget the part when she climbed the stairs! i was like almost shouting at her to not look down but she so stupid, scared stil wan look down! den in the end, c lar? haha.. c the ghost. i was freaked out too.. den the part where the door knob keep turning oso scary cos personally, i always feel irritated and feel a sense of urgency whenever the knob is being forced to turn when its locked... scary to think tat the ghost is just a door away from u... :eek:

hmmm..... ive received an email regarding the tekong story... the author wasnt pleased with what was unfolded. and he had provided the "actual" version... rather than intestines, its actually water bottle. I mean... to think abt it... come on.. how can a body be bloodless if its being cut open and intestines dugged out? well... believe it or not... here's the story...

From some reliable source: The Ghost of Charlie-Company, Pulau Tekong

This is a true story...
One of my reservist buddies pass this mail to me. The author is unhappy that the Mediacorp version, shown last week on TV, was inaccurate (as far as he is concerned). I've heard my own version of course. Dunno which one is true. But for sure, I can vouch the incident really happened.


My Story: It is a well-known fact that Pulau Tekong has a number of ghosts. Some of you readers may have read or heard about the ghost at Charlie Company at the old basic military camp I. Unfortunately, some versions that I read or heard have been distorted over the years.

Here, I hope to set the record straight. Instructors and trainees of Charlie Company, Infantry Training Depot during the March-June 1983 period can vouch for my version of the story. It is NOT my intention to revive hurtful memories especially for the bereaved family or to blame anyone, but purely to narrate facts as they had happened.

The starting point of this true story should be the 16 Km route march about 18 years ago. Before the march, the Officer Commanding of the company asked the trainees whether anyone was sick or not feeling well. No one put up his hand. But there was a trainee among the company, Recruit Tham W.K., who was down with flu but did not put up his hand.

Then the route march started. The platoons took turns to lead the company after each break during the route march. Sometimes, the pace of the march became too hot for some trainees, who could not keep pace and had to fall out. They became stragglers and had to be picked up by a few instructors walking at the rear of the company. The landrover with the medical orderly was also supposed to be at the rear.

Somehow, Tham fell out and managed to slip out of view by taking cover in the forest. He was not to be seen alive again.

During subsequent rest breaks, there were head-counts. He was presumed to be with the medical orderly. It was only in the evening after the route march, when the the rifles were due to be returned to the armoury, that they realised Tham was missing. They went to the medical centre but he was not there. The instructors feared the worst. Overnight, they organised a night-search party for him, re-tracing the 16-Km route taken earlier in the day. They could not find him.

The next day, the entire Camp I ceased training and batches of instructors and trainees were dispatched to find Tham. It was only about 5 p.m. that his own platoon commander (PC) found his corpse. Near a forest track junction the PC noticed a half-pictched tent. He called out but there was no response. As he neared the tent, he noticed many flies buzzing around and detected a foul stench. There lay before him his dead trainee, lying with one hand holding his rifle and the other hand outstretched with a water bottle, with its cover opened. The PC broke down in tears and wept openly. A subsequent post-mortem showed that Tham had apparently died of stomach rupture. When his body system was still hot from the heat of the route march, against the advice of instructors, he had apparently gulped down massive amounts of water suddenly. It was like pouring ice cubes into a thin glass of hot water, which can cause the glass to crack. But the post mortem also found puncture marks on his body, which could not be satisfactorily explained to this day.)

It was left to the Company Sergeant Major and his landrover driver to drive the corpse back to camp for transfer to the mortuary. It was twilight at that time. Inexplicably, the engine could not start. The thought of the two of them spending the night with the corpse unnerved them. But eventually,they somehow had the engine started and returned safely to base. The late Tham was promoted to NCO and cremated at Mount Vernon with full military honours. As the company trainees lined the road snaking up to the crematorium to salute our late comrade, it was a heart-breaking sight to see a distraught mother being supported by two daughters following the hearse.

A few instructors returned to the site where he departed from this world, to offer incense and prayers. One instructor asked the late Tham not to come back and haunt us, but rather to express his last wishes in a dream so that his soul could rest in peace after his wishes were fulfilled.

But Tham did not listen.

Incident 1: One of the instructors came to the Platoon 9 bunk to remove his personal effects. When he opened up his metal cupboard, there was a foul stench from inside that could not be explained.

Incident 2: In the dead of the night, some trainees of Charlie Company heard Tham's voice shouting for the platoon or company to fall in at the common company compound.

Incident 3 (more scary): One of the platoon 9 section mates woke up in the middle of the night and saw the white figure of Tham's ghost standing in front of his former cupboard ! He bolted to the next double-decker bed, grabbed to share his blanket and said "ghost!" The next morning, the platoon mates could see two trainees pale and ashened by the encounter.

Incident 4: During one of the subsequent route marches (by Golf Company), the company noticed a figure of a soldier in full battle order standing in the distance among some trees. The OC (a former Commando Captain) dashed forward to take a closer look. He quickly ordered the whole company to double past without slowing down to see what he saw. Subsequent route marches were diverted to avoid that area of sighting.

It's been a long time since I! last se t foot on Pulau Tekong in June 1983. But I heard that the bunk in which the late Tham used was converted into a lecture room and subsequently into a store room. The room was installed with padlocked doors for obvious reasons.

Over the years, generations of trainees who became instructors passed down their version of Tham's story by word of mouth, which unfortunately got distorted in the process.

May his soul rest in peace.

That kind of scenario is very rare, usually the ghost would have very little energy left after possesing one person but it possesed so many!
And it did not even run away when salt was sprinkled around the room, I think the ghost has some very deep hatred that made it powerful
