....... There may be another easier solution to this, but right now, the method that I thought of is:

Do a re-installation of Windows ME. You wun lose ANYTHING...:) Just pop the cd into your drive, install as per normal on the partition you originally had WinME. MAKE SURE, your cd is the full-installation one, not the upgrade version.

Dunno whether this method can work or not, but try and see for yourself:

Do you or your friend have another computer that is installed with Win ME? If yes please copy the rundll32.exe to a floppy (i forgot how big is the file) then place it back to your computer under the same folder (where you delete the file).

Boot to DOS mode first then enter the commands to copy:

copy rundll32.exe c:\[folder name]......... (usually c:\windows\system32)

See whether can boot or not?

This is one method, but I can't gurantee it will work nia....but it's worth a shot.

rundll32.exe from WinXP is just a tiny 31kb. :)

Don't get rundll32.exe from WinXP....... the 2 systems are different and don't think can work. If possible get from a WinME system, the file I mean.

rundll32. if you deleted it from an ME. kindly get it back from either . another ME or a win98. ME is basically built upon 98. So to be on the safe side. take it from a ME or a win98.

If you bo bian cannot get the run32dll.exe file from other computer, the best to overwrite it with a new copy of windows, not format it. Like that you still have to waste your time to go and windows update again. If you going re-install, why not try WinXP?
