M1 shop is selling $528 with 2yrs and $648 without line. I saw it today. Think should be launched only today. There was a Motorola promoter too. Looks ok lar, one useful thing is tt the camera lens has a slide cover to protect the lens. Quite clear the pics, ringtones also not bad. But the brand of Motorola kinds of turns me off leh....used motorola hp b4 and found it so difficult to use. But it's dual band. The camera resolution is better than most of the other hps bcoz the best resolution is 640X480 which is equal to 7650 and 3650

Yup got java but there r 5 inbuilt java games which cannot be deleted apparently. And that is incl in the 2mb of space there is. Also the camera when u r taking pics, sometimes has blue lines running across but after u snap the pic is ok. U can't store many pics if u r using the highest resolution.

where u saw $8?? I got it for $238 in starhuib shop.... 2 years plan somemore... at first its 338 nbut later they lower down it to 238..heng ah...if i early a bit..i have to pay 338 laio...

overall... the phone not bad lor.... for the camera n ringtone.,..much more better than other phone... compared with SE T610 n 7250 as well as Samsung v200... as for other models..i dunno lah cos i din have the phone to compare

i dunno whether it supports wave files or not but i will try to see if it supports it.... after that i will let u guys know.... for the quality of the voice...not bad...the only thing u need to do is set it louder lor...cos the default is at level 3. maybe wat u heard from ppl is b4 they actually set it louder lor... for sending mms...its really better lor... cos it can receive both pic n sound....

it supports wav files but apparently not mp3 files... so actually not very practical for ringtones cos wav files would be pretty big... but for SMS alert short short wav still good... i have set my e365 to the ICQ alert tone... today in meeting when my SMS alert went off... everybody was staring at me... keke.. :D

i am also using the icq tone for sms...hehe.... sounds very nice... but for mine..i din feel it hot even i talk for long hours... btw...did u get the latest update for the s/w? mine i upgraded it after 3 days. I went to svc centre n they told me mine s/w not the latest. SO they help to me upgrade... a bit faster after upgrade....bit only...

we wouldnt know whether motorola will beat SE n nokia or not in the future... but personally i have been using motorola phone since yr1999. so far...no problem for me... the svc very good... n pricing wise...not too bad..reasonable! unlke other phone, they are charging high price for something tat dun even worth it!

by the way , i dun tink it support WAV. i tried transfering WAV. cannot.
only support SMAF = .mmf

they actually have more than 1 svc centre.... u can go to motorola website n see whether the other svc ctr are... n for the time...it will took about 4hrs to help u upgrade, depending on wat time u go there....

as for the tone...erm..im still looking for soem wav files... but for the time being im using midis lor for my ringtone..sometimes can listen to it as well cos i stored a full midi...

i think there is a limit to the size of WAV u can transfer?? cos i tried a rather large WAV that was converted from MP3... i can't transfer...

but the ICQ tone WAV file... i already copied it verbatim into my e365 liao.... using it no probs except sounds a bit funnie on the fone... :D

i can load the ICQ "uh-oh" WAV file into my phone ley.........

as for the default pics/tones... dun seems to be able to remove... although i haven't tried master clear.........

u sure its a .wav file??
go to yr phone.. under media center , den go to melody.. press menu button on the ICQ tone, go see the details.... its SMAF (.mmf) file..... and if possible u try to upload a .wav using the program.. is says "file format not support"...

u yrs really still can use WAV file... den maybe bcos of my firmware nv upgrade lor..

well could be ur firmware dun support yet...? when did u purchase ur phone?? my one 101% definitely surely is WAV cos i copied the .WAV file from C:\Program Files\ICQ\Sounds directory... i.e. the original ICQ uh-oh WAV file...

but after i loaded it into the phone using the software... it says Type: SMAF on the phone...

if u wan the pic to be see very nice on the phone , can get E365 / T610
if u wan the pic to be see very nice on the PC , N3650
average one - N7250/7250i

here'a a current user! .. the phone is not too bad ... can hold a lot of sms ... but when u got a lot of messages .. it become very slow in accessing .... also when typing sms if u press the keypad too fast, the phone cannot catch up wif you! .... other than tt .. it is overall a nice phone to haf ... the screen is big and color is good .. the camera is quite nice also .. although night mode sucks .... move a bit only then blur liao ..... and this phone cannot play java games ...... no infrared .... no blue tooth .... so if u want to load ring tones into the phone .. nid to buy the data transfer cable

think he onli interested in the camera..haha...
n the price with 2 yr plan is $88 rite.

if u are used to nokia method then u will find motorola a bit strange and needs getting used to ... other than that ..should be ok la ....

price.... i not very sure ... think the 88 for 2 year plan need trade in

the sms is very lousy ah....moi used it for 2mths and still not very used to it...used to using nokia phone i guess...and the sms is also very lagging...much slower...
