Vegetarian Makan place???

Nid help pls coz i got 2 vegetarians gd frens n was tinking of treating them makan during eve ... where in e whole SG hav nice VEge restaurants?? thx in advanced

Got many places, but also depend on your budget... For a quick list go to this site:

But my favourite place is Lao Di Fang in Marina Square. I believe there is another branch in Causeway Point. You can various types like Western style. japanese bento sets, and local asian (of course all vegetarian food). You will also be surprised :drool: !

I classified 5 vegetarian catagories...you can choose for yourself...

Cheap Veg restaurant: Su Shi Lin at Pearl Complex..the food is good..lacking is only the ambience and the mood of eating,if your frenz is particular about eating with mood... ;)
Food range around $3.50 - $18...got a lot of variety

Affordable Veg Restaurant: Kingland vegetarian restaurant..I like the buffet and they also have normal meals dishes too..the ambience is better and per person should be around $18++ for four dishes with drinks..
Also in outram,same as su shi lin...opposite of old Eu Tong Seng Police headquarter...

Expensive Veg Restaurant: Hong Ge..please dun go,that's my recommendation..coz it is expensive leh..but i can say the food is really good with the top best environment for eating...sure above $30++ per person...In Orchard..

Non-chinese restaurant: Annalakshimi..it is an Indian restaurant..good food also and it has good ambience..most attractive is you wanna eat,eat..you only pay what you feel should be the price for the things you eat...and all the money that they recieve from you will go into charity..so it is like you are eating for charity...the place is the hotel beside penisular plaza and behind funan IT mall...

Non-Chinese Fastfood: Komala...there are a few branches in singapore..but i think if you want komala,i prefer to recommend you Annalakshimi..do charity while eating is the best..

btw..all the restaurent mentioned are providing foods that are able to cater for strict vegetarian..just to let you know that some veg restaurant may now be able to provide...coz they put in eggs into their dishes when strict vegetarian dun even eat eggs...

some vegetable like onion,garlic and in dishes are vegetables that strict vegetarian due eat.. ;)

welcome..but are your frenz able to take indian flavour food first anot??
although most veg take anything..but they may be particular cases..
I think you can consult them 1st..as finding a veg restuarant with good food is actually quite hard..that's what i feel as i am a veg for a period of time before.. :p

that's why i say depend on budget, lor... me vegetarian for more than 12 years liao so i try to treat myself once or twice a month at lao di fang. each time also about $10 per person - not too bad considering still got aircon and service lah... :D

me not so strict lah, because vegetarian not for religious reason (partly only).
main thing is for taking care of health. i eat eggs only for supplement 'cos so busy working sometimes don't have proper meals. actually your body will feel big difference if take strict vege diet. no joke, can pass your ICT 2.4km run easily with only a few practice runs...my personal experience! ;)

ya he is a strict vege n dun eat onions..eggs..etc
btw wil tel him 2 stop eatin so much oily stufs le haha... mayb i wil b 1 2... i mean vege lolx

haha..I go very strict during that period...no even "rou4 bian1 cai4"(vege that cook together with meat,but only take vege)...

Share a little exp..that time i watch "Mei3 Shi2 Da4 Shan1 Tong1" bu Zheng Guo Cheng...he mentioned that garlic and onion and some other "Wu3 Xing1 Cai4" can stimulate the sex homo strongly..but it can hurt your digestive system..that's y eating these will cause ppls to fart very smelly...

actually onion will make pple fart whether vegetarian or not. But garlic dun make pple fart. Cooked garlic will stimulate sex homones thats why buddhist avoid it because it cause pple to lose control. :devil:

raw garlic will hurt you "internally" if you are strict vegetarian. :sick:

i think Kingsland have lunch buffet - not too sure now because now seldom go to Kingsland liao. not because of anything bad, but locations not convenient for me lah... :|

Last time toa payoh 1 got lunch buffet..but they closed down liao..
for outram 1..I think hav also..coz i remember they put the pricing outside..but like what kopi_or have said..call up to ask is still better.. ;)
