i found this ad @ one of the classified(i have edited some information), num 8 stated that 7250 can be upgraded to 7250i
don't know real or not?
if it's real, might be a gd news for 7250 users

yet it can be done coz the main change is only the software nothing else btw both.

well i don't think only the software that need to be change , sound too simple .
maybe need to change some of the hardware also ,

I agree.

If I remember correctly, 7250i has optical zoom.
Even if they upgrade the software, it will only become digital zoom at best.
But will still lose in quality.

well i don't think only the software that need to be change , sound too simple .

7250i dun have optical zoom.... it's a digital zoom after taking the photo

if really can upgrade 7250i then wouldn't trade in my hp for the incoming e700

well.. if that is true.. it'd be great.. but i highly doubt so.. dun tink nokia would let us upgrade for a minimal fee when they can charge the price of the hp.. :)

i rather not take the risk. once you modify from anywhere beside nokia.. u can kiss your warranty goodbye

so wait 4 the warranty expired den try it loh. if the price is not exp, i think can try since sum1 say it works in M'sia.

just very surprised after having a lot of people confirm cannot upgrade to 7250i
by the way u sure of malaysia can do also?
i will go in to ask my friends when i goin in jb this weekend
if can then hooray for 7250 user :eyepop:

Dun mind me digging out the old thread

But till now any 7250 users tried this upgrade?

And is there anywhere in Singapore that offer this 7250 -> 7250i upgrade? I will like to try :)

since the ad is explained quite vaguely, it could mean a fone upgrade, not a modification.
maybe just exchange your 7250 for a 7250i at a top-up price.
