Parbulum at united square the best (dunno the restaurant name spell correct anot).
Must try, best try... student got half price (poly or uni also hav)... moreover all day round and include weekend and public holiday... a set for $10.90. there also got many many good food... can try the seafood platter... I find the makan environment good too...

cafe cartel also good too, I eat at Raffles City.... Staff are friendly and worth the money you pay.

Agree with 3ser. Brewerkz Fish & Chips is awesome. Mainly because they use beer as batter mix instead of plain water. Brewerkz is at Riverside Point (opposite Clarke Quay). If you go there before 4pm, you can also enjoy a jug of their own brewed beer at only $7.50++. Can order and stand-by ice bucket....

The beer batter fish and chips was very nice, and so was the original F & Cs. (the steak there was good and juicy too). Price was reasonable too, below 10 bucks for original F & C as well as the smallest portion of steak (which is not small actually).

i find AMK S11 fish and chips normal only... nothing fantastic.....

the best fish and chips at food courts/hawker i've tried b4 is at parkway parade basement food court!! it is rather expensive for food court ($6.90 or $7.90 plus soup) but the fish is really nice!! it is nice golden colour and is juicy and fresh in the inside... the chips is like MOS burger's chips.......

I feel that the best fish and chip is the one at Changi Village. The cafe next to the hawker center. Their drinks also quite unique, serve in a glass that the bottom is the ice, pre-frozen. So you drink your ice tea like without ice, but it is always chilled.

Monday is "gone fishing day" for them, so don't go on Monday.

Go Mustafa Centre, the cafe along the walkway, you will be surprise the fish and chips is very good, cheap and have a reasonably big portion.

Go along with a cup of Masala tea too!

God i really went down to Phin to try the fish and chips and i have to say it was good~~~. Not only tasty and crispy but very affordable as well. 9.90 for large serving of fish&chips as well as drinks and soup. All in all it was worth it going down to try it

hmmm i've been working at toa payoh lorong 1 for abt a yr.. and recently then i found out there's a cafe call Cafe Inn at Braddell Mrt there. Sharon Ow & dunno who got went there n found out that their fish n chips is nice.. I myself tried it and.... WOOH!! is nice, portion just nice with a cup of moha which cost only a dollar.. the fish n chips cost 4 or 4.50 ba.. but bagus.. die die must try ah!!! :laugh:

Agree, Perth is best. Tried Brewerkz (spelling wrong) at Clark Quay last week, nothing fantastic.

The second best fish and chips I had around here is in JB , a home cafe at the corner of Jalan Tarom (near Hyatt hotel). It doesn't look very glamorous, but it's surprisingly better than most of these mentioned places.
