The strange experience before ah-ma death

Share with every1 my experience. It happened during year 2001. It ws the period before my grandma passed away after heart attack. Every1 was told that she is on the "waiting-to-be dead" list, known as DIL list, in TTSH. She suffered a heart attack after she was down with stroke within 3 months. the heart attack is occured only a few days before her death. After the attack, she went into coma. On the eve of her deathbed, suddenly she became awake. I remember I was going to work when my dad called me, saying that she is awake. I was so happy, as she has finally awaken from her coma. I called my senior saying I go work an hour later (part-time job).

So before I left my home, my mum who was then at home told me, "Boy, I think ah-ma is dying soon, better go down to hospital."

I was like "What the fxxx you were talking at morning, are you still not awake?" and replied "no lah.. pa say that ah-ma is awake, so I think should be okie."

"I think ah-ma 'hui guang fan zhao', anyway take a cab down, I dun want you to regret."

"k lor" I replied and left for hospital.

When reached hospital, I really saw my ah-ma, opening her eyes. I had nv see her open her eyes so big before too. Beside her is my dad and another of my cousin. FYI out of all her grand children, she loved the both of us the most, not to forget she also loved her younger son which is my dad. So we accompanied her.

I see my watch after a while and feels that i need to leave for work, I told her in teochew "ah-ma, i go work first hor, tonight then i come again visit you". I wanted to plant a kiss on herbefore i left for work, like what i did when i was very young, but got too many ppls in hospital, so I decided not as i scared paiseh. I left for work then.

After work, I really make my promise to visit her. but she was asleep. Dad told me that she has been asleep after I left for work. I stay in hospital for a while and told my mum "See scared the hell out of me this morning, otld you that ah-ma have nothing wrong. her pulse okie and she asleep so soundly now."

Both my parent are so quiet, so are all the rest of my siblings and relative. I strongly believe that no one in the family would want to lose such a benevolence person and a person who hold a important position in everyones heart.

(Side-track a little: dunno got link to this story anot, I dreamt a nightmare exactly 12 days before the death of my grandma, that time she is still okie and staying at my home, while I went to my frenz home to stay overnight to celebrate his 18th birthday. I dreamt that I went to purchase an urn with my dad, my eldest uncle and her in a blue background environment. on the ground are josspaper and tombstone. I remembered the urn was white with blue dragon design. Suddenly I heard my frenz mother cried: "Rong, your frenz died liao, your frenz died liao". It sound so real and I opened my eyes, I saw black. I couldn't see anything. I frozen and thought I am died. but then i felt a weight on my face, removed it and it was actually a pillow. anyway the birthday boy was damn sway, his another frenz died on his birthday... but this is another story.)

Suddenly, the dream started to recurred back to me. I was a little scared, but i dispensed it with a thought of buying a drink from the vending machine. Around 11.30pm, my younger brother had to attend school on the following day, so the entire family went to ah-ma bed and told her that we go home 1st.

The next morning, I still remember it was same procedure of waking up and goes to work routine. usually i left home before 9.20 in order not to be late for work. but somehow that day i delay her and delay there. When wearing my shoes, suddenly the phone ring, my elder brother was beside the telephone, but was smoking so he ws not bother to pick up the phone. No choice, i have to walk all the way to the phone and pick up the headset.

"Is this the family member of ***" the voice sound like a Filipino maid voice, which is actually a nurse from TTSH. the asterik represent my ah-ma name.

"Yes i am the grandson."

"Your granny had passed away a moment ago."

"WHAT... say that again, I think I cannot heard you properly" I thought I heard something wrongly, so want to confirm what the nurse had said

"Your granny heartbeat had stopped just now. Ask your family member to come."

I was dumbstruck. I put down the headset and turn to my brother "kor, ah-ma 'gui-xi' liao." (somehow, i dun use the word 'si diao', till now I also wun use... I will only say 'gui xi' when it comes to people death, only my pets and animals 'si diao')

My brother first reaction was "Wah lao, why like that!" We immediately rushed down to hospital in two cab. I was on the later cab. Mum told me "No choice, she juz left. She dun wan to burden us, let her go in peace". "Peace? Why not you just shut up and let me have some peace?" I was very annoyed with my mother for her reaction over my ah-ma issue for last few days. (but I was moved by her calmness now... that was my first encounter so close with death of my closest kin, but mum had so many encounter liao. the older the ginger the spicier)

She was really dead. So peaceful yet so pale. The cold hand that I touched will soon part me. I was unable to warm her up, even with my kisses again.

Anyway afterthat there are some other paranormal things happening, like i strike consolation prizes of my ah-ma death number (out of the whole family i am the only 1 who strike), a big moth appear, finger print on the 21th day, dreamt that she visited me and some others short story...... but I have some question for you guys to discuss.

1.Do you believe that dreams can narrate any things to the future? As in I went to buy urn with her, acompanied by dad and eldest uncle

2.Do anyone have explanation to "Hui Guang Fan Zhao"

3.My aunt had uneasy feeling at dawn on the day of my ah-ma death. do you think there are connection as in i delay my time of going work wihout intention.



I had some regrets that I never treat her well, though a lot of people said that i did what I had to performed as a grandson. I regret to go work and no accompanied her for a moment more, I regret for not giving her the heartwarming kiss as what i did when I was young on her deathbed. Love your loved one as what you feel you should offer. Dun wait till you lost them forever and you regret as I am now.

so if something bad happens to any of our closed ones we can feel it ba...
like 6th sense...

like the week b4 my grandfather passed away he was suddenly especially nice to my father n us when we went to visit him...
i tink they can feel death is approaching though i tink that kind of thought is rather.... u know...

Another saying is not the "hei bai wu chang". The say is "niu tou mai mian" The cow head horse face leh.... so which is true? I dunno??

btw, i think my ah ma got come back on the first week and third week lor.. the nonya kuei i bought to offer her on the eve of first week seems like touched by someone on the seventh day, and the rice bucket filled with rice on the third week got a small thumbprint. FYI after my ah ma death, My family individually ate outside everyday. No one had touched the rice bucket ever her death... But my mum got topped up the rice bucket to the fullest and levelled the bucket a few days before the third week.

Comment on this: I heard from a frenz whom he heard this from his camp-mate, saying that usually if the soul come back on first week, they are accompanied by a little boy and gal on the first week. They with leave her there till dawn before fetching her away. then on third week the soul will come back on itself, then stood in front of it's alter is the ancestors who had long ago passed away. (reminds me of welcome party). They will enjoy the food on the alter and when dawn break they will left and then wun return again. From what I heard from my frenz, his frenz got those kind of eyes.

though there are ppl who had near-death experiences can give a more detailed account...

but I just wanna know any1 had relatives got "hui guang fan zhao" before death or is it only me who had a kin who suffered from this incident??
A frenz told me that it is a form of energy unleashed from the person before death, coz every1 of us are using energy to eat, sleep, talk, etc. gotta finish every drop before passing out. true or not??

the same thing happened to me...

my ah mah was fortunate.. doctor say she gonna pass away any moment..
we stayed by her bedside till late..
one time, her heartbeat stopped, then we all rush to the hospi..
after that she came back to life.. 2nd time stopped, we all rush back,
she came back to life too.. we are wondering, what is that that is keeping her to leave peacefully..

everyone of us cried at the bedside, we said in hokkien "ah gong is coming to fetch you le, ah mah please close your eyes & sleep ".
among all her grandchildren, she dotes on me the most.
couldn't bear her to go. Then when my aunt brought my grandpa photo along,
shortly after she 'gui-xi' liaoz...

after that the week, my uncle said she came home to sayang him,
the cupboard she was using is opened & the old old type of powder was moved.

my ah-gong have difficult in his movment, he cant says things...only can wink..tat day..he wink alot of times to my cousin...
I also have to work, so i didn't really spent alot of times with him...But the day he pass away...alot of suay things happened to me....& worst i was caught for bring hp to work...my work place dun allow us to use hp while working....& i was not inform of the incident.

I got alot of strange feeling....been feeling uneasy for the whole day.....but i thought nothing lah....so i continue to work..all the way till nite...After work..then i got inform...which actually concluded my feeling for the whole day.....i was actually working quite near my ah-gong hospital,but his home is very far from me...so i nv expect myself to link these feeling to him...

Anyway...the time that he pass away did really let some of my auntie won some $...they have bought 4D....

my aut dream that my ah-gong came home, take alook at us..&went off...
During the funeral, think i also got seen my ah-gong..but nt sure if i had seen wrongly....cos not visible...like in a dream....

Erm. I think it happens in all cases. When my sis's friend died tragically in a bus accident, her eyes were tearing when she was laid in her coffin.

Before my grandma passed away, she was doing great and we even booked tickets to bring her go back China for a visit but things just ain't the way we wished it to be.

Hey... sound little like the same here... as mentioned before my grandma suffered a stroke 3 mths before her death. then we put her in nursing home. during that period she also persistently wanna go home. seems like those going to "pass" away got feeling that they going soon... feel a little "incredible"....
I also struck 4D and I am the only 1 in my family who struck. 1 dollar big and won consolation on the day we cremated her. then bought nonya kuek the next day for her as it is the eve of the 1st week.

hmmm...had an experience with regards to my (paternal) grandma's death as well. I was in sec 3 back den. My grandma fell dwn one day & was down with stroke. Blood cot was found in her brain & thus she went unconcious. She stayed in the hospital for a couple of days but i din had the time to visit her (which i rilly regret) as i was having my final year exams during tat time. My parents told me to stay @ hme as well and so i did.

Then, 1 fine day i went to skool as usual (my grandma is still in the hospital). It was english lesson & the class was told to write an essay (abt wat topic i forgot) and so, the classroom turned silent. I feel very moody & worried abt my grandma's condition...moreover, i din visit her in the hospital. I din had the mood to start on my essay & so i looked ard & started to stone. I then glanced @ the classroom clock. it says 9:45am (i tink..cant rem de exact timing. i juz noe it's ard 9am) i dunno why but i started to cry uncontrollably. my classmate had a shock & and started to hush me dwn but i juz cont crying & crying. my teacher noticed & came over to me asking me wat happened. my classmate then told my teacher abt my grandma den i cried even more. i tink i went on for abt 15-20mins or so.

when i got home tat day, my mum told me my grandma passed away this morning. I asked her what time and she said 9:45am. that was exactly when i broke dwn to tears in class that very same day. Till now, i dunno de exact reason that triggered my tears. but i strongly believe it's the strong bond i have with my grandma. somehow i noe something bad happened...

Wah Piangz... something strange happened again...

My Aunt husband died on sunday night...on sunday morning,he was having difficulty in breathing at home, so the family called ambulance to sent him to TTSH.my aunty accompany him go hospital.when late afternoon came,he remove his breathing aid and tell my aunty that he cannot make it liao. really, less than 3 hours he died.... so sudden...anyway just attended his funeral and I feel strange

How come some people before die got feeling that they are dying leh??Please any1 to investigate??

Anyway, did you guys also notice that almost every time near the end of a yr,a lot of ppls die?my void deck just finished 2 case, one below my neighbourhood frenz house now and 1 is my aunty husband... nearby his funeral got 2 more...last yr already feel so liao... this yr again... so coincident??all plan beforehand??the undertaker muz be having good business now..

i oso had strange encounters b4 my grandma died.

the whole morning i was feeling not right. we just returned from bangkok the day b4. my grandma said she hasnt seen the 4 faced goddess(si mian fuo) b4.so my faimly brought her there lors. the trip back, i just dont feel right lors. i just somehow feel that something is gona happen.

my grandma had her usual afternoon naps lors. i went pass her room and saw her sleeping lors. didnt go btoher her. my cousins lived on 14th floor while my granny at 4th. so i went upstairs lors. thristy le. go get a drink. mysteriously the glass of water just fell off the table. theres no gust of wind. it was just placed near the end of the table lors. no one touched hte cup at all. its really strange. it just went crushing down without anyone touching it or any wind. i was in shock. after that the phone rang, i answered. my aunt called me to go to grandma house quick.

when i arrive, my mum and aunt were rubbing my grandma with medicated oil. my 2nd aunt went to call up other relatives and the ambulance. we were suppose to have a christmas party de. sigh. my uncle said that my grandma couldnt wake up and her body turning cold. my aunts and mum were sobbing away. hell load of chaos. i only cried when the paramedics confirmed her death.

then the burial date freak me out even more. we were suppose to throw flowers into the pit where the coffin is in b4 they bury. when it was my turn(well, i was the last) to throw in the flowers, i somehow slipped and nearly fell into the pit. i just dont know why i slipped. i just felt my legs numb and then i slipped. i was lucky my uncle caught hold of me if not i be buried with my grandma le. i just cant explain it lahz. i was walking up and down so many times ard the pit nothing happened. just when its time to close up after hte last person throwing in flowers, someting happened. then the unlucky one is me.

he contracted throat cancer. he die die duwan to go for operation so he was admitted to TTS "liao yang yuan"...i duno wat tat is called...where all de "on-the-way-to-xi-tian" ppl r. after confirmation fr de doc tat he is beyond cure, he was sent there...as we feel tat he wil be better taken off by de nurses. We did not dump him there...everyday there will b different family to send food to him n talk to him... until one day... de doc told us tat if we wan to bring him home... do it now... coz his time will be up soon... he was in de hospital for abt 2weeks...his case of serious to the extent of paralysis... he totally cant move at all...even when he tried to eat, his hands trembled veri terribly. then on de 2nd week of his stay, he kept requesting for different kinda food which he did not do during de 1st week. Out of de blue, he said he wanted to eat crabs!!! we were dumbfounded... den de next day, he wanted beer... den his fav "bah chor mee" n other stuffs... he kept requesting for all de nice nice food... n he dun seem to be full... he can eat non-stop... duno y...den my mum says he know he is going off liaoz...so want to enjoy evthing 1st... :/ was very sad when i heard tat... but no choice... we jus tried to give him evthing tat he asked for... Then, my mum asked him if he wan to go home or not... he said he wanna stay with my family coz my dad is de "zhang zi" (eldest son) so we brought him back home... n we employed a maid to specially look after him.

during de home stay, some weird things happened...he told me some stuffs tat i couldnt understand. every morning when i wake up...i will go n c him 1st...den one day...he is shouting for me...i went to him...asked him wat happened. he said (in hokkien) " mei...why de room so dark...so smokey...i cant c de road". i stoned... for goodness sake, it was early in de morning when de sun is shining so brightly n he is telling me de room is so smokey... i duno "where" he was at tat time... i think he's somewhere in btw "ren jian" n "di fu". it did not happened jus once... a few times..he's oways complaining he's seeing darkness... i was scared at de same time sad. i told my mum... she said he's going off anytime... den we brought him out on wkends to his fav bah chor mee store. he is in wheelchairs... he's so happy when he ate de mee. smiling de whole day. my grandpa was veri poor in de past ma... so during this period... he asked for money fr de relatives who visited him... definitely they gave him... n he kept de money well. know wat happened... de "mei liang xin" maid stole his money!!! thought tat he is sick n senile liaoz...took de money tat de relatives gave him. so tat day when i came back... he was veri moody... veri diff... n he keep mumbling tat his money lost...we didnt believe initialy until he kept on mumbling n mumbling non-stop...den my mum spot checked de maid's bag... n indeed we found $60 in her bag! i reali cursed her manz...for taking an old man's money...who will soon be dead...i was amazed tat my grandpa knew she stolen de money in tat kind of health condition...n most of de time he is slping... duno how to explain too...

one week passed...most of de things he requested for... he had it... one day, my mum was feeding him dinner... i was sitting by my grandpa's side... he was stil ok when my mum fed him de 1st mouth... on de 2nd feeding... his mouth stopped chewing... slowly...he laid back on de wheelchair... n his eyes rolled up... i was petrified...i saw de whole process... until today...so many yrs had passed...i could stil rem how his eye balls rolled up... but he went off very peacefully...which i was quite happy abt... rather den he suffer de pain of de cancer...evday taking morphine to fite de pain... :~ i realli stoned there... until my mum started calling relatives telling them tat ah gong gia liao...(went off already). i jus chiong into de bedrm n cry... scared at tat time...heartpain... but at least we had fulfilled all his wishes...

another weird incident was...during de funeral...my grandpa's dao sao came... she was well n ok...stil can walk...she oso veri sick...but she still came to de funeral...de weird part was...abt 2days after my grandpa's death...she passed away too!! AT DE SAME TIME!!! 8pm at nite....... -__- this was wat they so called...being "pulled" down... they say my ah gong had pulled her down...coz the 2 of them veri "tan de lai" (chatty)...

de last one was...my x colleagues' husband passed away tis yr... they jus got married a few weeks b4...de guy was down with skin cancer for 2yrs but he didnt know. so by de time he knew...it was too late. he struggled for a mth in de hospital he died after one week stay in de hospital...fr my xcolleague, she said tat during de funeral, evday rained... b4 de guy went off..he did tell my fren not to b sad...n she promised him not to cry...when de body was put into de coffin tat time...sudenly heavy rain started...so my fren went to de coffin n told him tat..."if u wan to cry...just cry loh..." rain became even heavier... n for de next 2days...same thing...raining evday... haiz...very sad ar... another weird thing tat another fren realised was... de guy's lips...changed shape during de 3days... she said on de 1st day...looked very grumpy.. ---> ( den slowly become like got smile abit on de 3rd day... perhaps... he knows tat his wife is coping well...

so many weird things...canot b explained...
most impt of all...is to cherish life...n live it to the fullest...at least u can leave with no regrets when de time has come...

mabby bah...he realli ate alot during tat last 2 weeks of his life manz...but he will "tuo meng" to my mother lohz...a few times liaoz...say he not enough money "downstairs"...complain sae he veri cold...den during qing ming jie...we will burn more clothes n money for him...

oh yah...jus remembered something...my ah gong even described "the place" to us...said there everythg oso got sell...n says its veri cheap... :sweat: he even can say de price sia... pengz...den described de food...reali dun understand wat he said during tat time manz...

Helloz every1..I just experience something special on 18/Dec/2003 and yesterday 20/Dec/2003..you all be my judge..k??kind of thankful instead of been scared..a bit angry too just now,but not now..

U guys know that I hang out quite late nowadays in Keeptouch as now vacation mah..so got more time surf net..then I sleep on thursday nite around 3-4am..not sure exactly wat time anyway..

Sleep got dreamz..every1 should hav..if not sometime got mah..so I dream lah..i dreamt quite vivid on that day..I dreamt of an ugly gal that i chased before coming back to date me and I run away in my dream,I went into army,and i also dreamt that i playing comp at home..but these are not the main story..i dreamt of my ah-ma is the main story here on thursday..

I remember it is a blue background..my ah-ma inside the dream is still like she is alive like that..only that she is in blue shading..she was in a room with me when she smiled at me..so benevolence her smile is and I have the feeling of holding her hand in my dream..that I used to have held her when she is alive...then she told me something in a serious tone..which she also used the same tone when she wanted to tell me something when she was still alive..

She told me to buy my father Hp number for sat 4D..the last 4 numbers..she said must ask my dad to buy in small token and cannot tell any1 except my dad..not 1 else is suppose to buy..she also written down in paper to remind me of the 4 digits inside the dream before she kept away the paper inside her pocket..then i left the place and continue to dream sleep till thursday afternoon 1pm+..then wake up...

coz I not on gd terms with my father recently..regarding his intention of selling my current residence to downsize to a smaller unit and yet he dun want to go look for a job to support the family income..so i dun wan to tell him directly..so I ask my mother to pass him the msg of wat my ah-ma told him in the dream..

yesterday morning i still remember wat my ah-ma say..so i really dun buy..but i hav the intention leh..then bo bian i go out lor..meet up frenz and watch lord of the ring..when I came home,first thing open up keeptouch to see new post lor..then go eat supper with a frenz at 2+am jus now..return liao and continue a while before going to rest..somehow this few days in insomia situation..so cannot sleep anyway..till just now 7.30 my mum wake up and she come into my room to help me cover blanket lah..

she realise I nv sleep the whole nite..and she announced to me that the number my ah-ma ask my father to buy come out starter in 4D..both my dad and mum bought $1 big..so total won $500..enuff to pay the housing loan for this december..

I was like going to say "shit you lah..ah-ma nv ask you buy and you go buy 4 wat.."then i a bit agitated and angry with my ah-ma also..she said no 1 else can buy leh..should she say can let ppls buy hor...i sure buy and I also will get at least $250 leh..so gd for celebrating x'mas sia..dunno how to bless this favourite grandson of his..yet let him dreamt of this type of dream..

then I also feel that my father and mother beri silly lor..they should buy higher bet mah..wat for listen to wat I said..we could be able to survive for 2 months without my dad going for jobs..if he bought a higher bet like wat he did every 4D days..damn agitated leh.. :mad:

But of course..when typing now,I feel very glad than ah-ma have blessed my family once again..at least my dad unemployed recieve the blessing from his late mother..I not angry when typing now...feeling like crying coz very touched leh..gone for almost 3 yr..yet she nv forget my family :.(

how i hope she will come to me often to let me dream of her..i dun wan any more 4 digits fr her liao..i wan her to accompany me in my dreams..i really wonder where is she now..where is the place that i dreamt her is at..y blue background 1?

Anyway..this is first time she let me dream of 4D..last time she let me strike some numbers too...but all related to her and her death number..the highest also starter..just wondering y no 1st 2nd or 3rd prize 1,if she got intention to help my family??haiz.. :rolleyes:
