Think i've seen a thread on the setting to be done when encountering this problem bt me canot find ;leh... any1 can help???

Preblem encountered is tat whenever i connect my hp to my pc using the infrared, keep going on n off lor.. canot even transfer any data to my pc......

dar80 U might try lower the ir spd from 4mb to 152k :)
Tis works for me when my ir keep on n off

Thing to know abt IrDA connection!

If u haven't get one IrDA, you can get it at sls which is ard $40+.

After u have setup ur IrDA, follow this step
control panel >> device manager >> Infra device >> transceiver type Change to sigma tel 4000

no no.. it is not sigmatel 4000 by default....

change the properties value...the default one is vishay6102F i think..got 6 types for u to change to, mine is on sigmatel 4000...so u try sigmatel 4000 also loh..

ya same to me lor when i first bought the irda when i install then on and off lor after that got fed up then remove program now...keep the irda in my cupboard now..haha

maybe will try to install again...

same prob here. but i tink for me, de prob lies with MobiMB. it tks very, very long b4 my hp's data is loaded. so now im using pc suite instead :D

duno wat happen to mine leh... juz d/l the pc suite for nokia 3200.. canot seem to connect leh.. haizz... duno wat happen...

Errr...mine always instantly connect de lehz....dun think is MobiMB's problem. :p

:btw: Can u and dar check ur IR device settings from Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager, if there is a setting for the speed of the IR? Cos somehow the speed has an effect on the connection. Protocol......not too sure, it could also be a factor.
