Anyone tried the Swordfish Collar dish? I ordered it with rice and when the waiter place the pan in front of me, I was shocked. Two big pieces of fish.

I think was a new dish, the waiter introduce me a to a crab dish but I was not prepared to eat it using my bare hands. :D The Swordfish was deep fried, taste abit like salmon.

Together with rice, soup and a drink, I eat until I can hardly walk. :toast:

i like their seafood platter, calamari, i think their sambal fish nice also, but the fish n chip too much, very easy sick of it~~ :D

I never tried their swordfish, but their Wrasse Fillet often (depends on your luck) comes in a large portion.

BTW, Fish n Co is getting more popular..so popular that they raised their prices.....personally i dun like such practices, what a way to 'thank' their supporting customers. :mad:

They only raised for some of the stuff rite? Dun think it is for all of the items there. Anyway I always go for the seafood platter for one but two people share cause the portion is simply tooo large. Just order a salad and make the meal complete... I really love the fried calamari.... YUMMM!!!!! And the mints that they give off after you foot the bill... BTW just for info the mints are from Africa so you cannot get them locally...

Yeah some price hikes for some itmes like Fish & Chips (almost 20% increment). I tried yday...but the portion is big ah?? then it's jus my luck to get a small one leh.... :(

Think it depends on season the fish sizes always not the same one. So I guess this cannot be helped eh if the supplier give you that size then you sell that size I guess.. But then again maybe when we dine again write in the suggestion slip to have the size of the fish consistent..

I find that the Suntec branch is not too bad cause that time have dunno some thing in my salad they took it away from the bill also they mistaken the order and end of the day gave me more Clams... Cause the other table ordered without clams and for more Calamari they gave me the other table's order and then cause of the mistake the gave me some more clams cause my plate did not have the clams... good service I should say..

Either comes with rice (not white rice) or fries. I chose the rice instead and didn't regret at all.

Alwayz order the seafood platter for 2 when going with frenz, it's just the best :D Must order: garlic butter mussels (side dish), it comes with bread. Very nice! must try! Esp when you dribble the sauce over the rice if you order other dishes :angel:

I've been to the one beside Park Mall (what's the name of the place huh...forgot, dunno :rolleyes: ) and the service is intolerably lousy! I requested for plain water 3 times and was rather agitated on the fourth request and the waitress served mytable immediately. And to think we pay service charge!!!! WTF! :mad:

I went with my bf last month to the outlet at parkmall and was also served by waiters with bad service...we ordered 2 different dishes and one of our order came very early almost immediately after we placed the order.
So we waited for both our orders to come before we start eating. we waited very very looooong think they forgotten...and their soup also forgot to serve...had to ask many times...ask for 2 ice water also had to ask many times...

until their supervisor or manager came to ask us how is everything and saved the day! he quikly went to check on our orders and when all our orders came, he apologised for the bad service and offered to warmed up the food again as it had turned cold from the long wait and even offered us an extra dessert or soup but we didnt want anything else and told him its ok. we discovered that he didnt charge us for the soup and gave us 10% discount when we left!

i can say that only the supervisor there has good service!

most restaurants hire partimers and they are mostly students who treat the job as an extra source of income for shopping/entertainment etc. they dun need to job to survive, of course they wont put that much commitment into the job that's why we get bad service...

Just to add, do you have to wait quite long for the dish to arrive? I went to the one in Novena and there is hardly any customers but it take quite awhile for the food to come.

I'm also studying poly now, and working part time as a waitress. I usually will serve the customer wit a smile and refill water when I see that their glasses are half empty. It depends on each individual really,.. on their attitude towards work.

yah i dun mean all...but mostly is true lor...esp those really young ones... very bad working attitude...they work for fun lor... pizza hut is also one place where i find so-so service with all those young young partimers...they stand at one corner chitchat away totally ignoring customers who need assistance..

i had a bad experience with fish & co at tampines... they forgot my friend's order, and the rest. mgr came out trying to smoke us and shift blames...

so we created quite a scene, and so coincidentally, the f&b mgr overseeing all outlets islandwide is at the outlet... so he came over and apologise... and get my friend's contact so that he can update my friend on the complaint investigation

finally, he waived off our bill totally...

oh one thing, if you are not happy with the service, u can actually call the hotline and complain, i think it's stated on the feedback card... cos that's what we did also... :evil:

Yesterday, the dish came quite fast although it has more diners at the time compared to the time I went when there is hardly any diners but food take long time to come.

Cos we complain the sotong in the seafood platter chao ta... then they like dunwan to change and we insisted on changing. So... hmmmz.. maybe they gave us added ingredients? :angry:

what to order: dunnoe abt u guys, but my take's definitely on the Seafood platter for 2, 'coz its's value for money. & tho' its supposed to be for 2, it can easily fill the stomachs of 3 ;)

what to avoid: corriander catch, that is unless u like veggie on your fish.. the last time i ordered it, my fish came drenched in a greenish ickish sauce.. yewk..

hi friends.....jus not being bias among any outlets.....but first...u gt to think....firstly services....for the servers mostly outlets are part timers...yes..some give attitude n some dun....it all depends on individual.... example...can u imagine tat if u r the person working in an outlet n it is full house n hve a long queue outside waiting..will u get pissed off??plus customers keep waving at u here n there...its jus like 1 pair of eyes seeing 10 over tables.....then wat if at one short...10 tables wana order?????confirm jammed la....key in order frm the terminal oso need time mah..more worst only can send the order by the terminal one at a time......

For food...calamari got ppl complain burn right??cos calamari is marinate wif cugan spice....n it consists of pepper.garlic powder ...etc...of cos will b abit burn mah...

Well, I love fish and co... the food is nice, the serving is quite big and so far I haven't encountered any bad sevice yet.

I went to the outlet at glasshouse before. we were served by a big sized guy on the 2nd floor. coz our table is below the aircon, before we went to the seats, he actually asked if we would mind sitting there. as it was crowded on that day, with no other seats, we just went ahead to sit there. he even said, "welcome to england!" his service was pretty good and he would occasionally ask if we need anything and if the food is nice and so on. the waiting time was quite long but we had no one to blame coz there were many
pple on tat day - a monday night.

I think the outlet at bugis is ok lah... the prawns at tampines were not tat fresh when i ate that day but the service was alright...

Those who pay cash in fish & co better be careful coz I have heard of bad experiences. There used to be a outlet in plaza singapura right? 2 diff groups of pple actually experience the same thing. Bcoz it was a big group, everyone will fork out the $ den one person will count them and pay right?? but later, the waiter will come saying that the $ was not enuff. The person who counted was v sure that she got it right but the waiter insisted otherwise. it happened to 2 diff groups on 2 separate occasions but at same place. wat can we say? wonder where that fellow end up in after that outlet is closed. better be careful lor...

fish n co will b having a special menu on eve of christmas,christmas,new yr eve,n new yr...special food such as scallop will b serve...seasonal platter which is swordfish steak,bigger prawns..tuna steak....strilling salmon... cost at 29.90 per head... consist of a soup of the day...main couse...desert which is a small log cake n a drink...it is like a set lor...selling only on those 4 days...if u guys r willing to spend..y not go down n try..it is available after 5pm.....Njoy.....


Just the Swordfish collar dish is already filling enough, how to eat more? :D

Have to agree that service is rather good..
I have mixed emotions to the corriander fish dish cos it's supposed to be healthy yet it's so so oily hence disgusting.. But it smells rather good..

Anyway the previous time I went out with my ex-classmates.. about 10 or so.. All paid me the exact change to the menu and did include cust svc and gst total of 14%.. Hence I ended up paying an extra $20...
Sigh... I feel so ripped off by my ex-classmates... I am not realy friends with most of them...

Anyway fish and co's seafood platter is rather dubious..
I remembered another time my friend A ordered a side cala mari (aka sotong!)
and me and friend B ordered seafood p for 2 which also have the sotong. Ok the squids are cooked the same way..

But however the sotong in my seaf p tasted different and Funny... rather unfresh...
So till today I didn't reorder the seafood platter...

They give so much of the squids and never clean properly, still can find the bone in them. I prefer they give the Mussels.
