Many places start selling mooncakes already! ;) So, which place's mooncake is your favourite?

oh btw, i also selling mooncakes...price is reasonable (from $18 -24) and package is nice.... interested pple, please PM mi.... :D

every year i always get my mooncakes from this place at alexander village. very popular old brand from chinatown.

wat's the brand? me tried sweasons ice-cream mooncake before.. not bad leh.. but abit sweet and soft lah..
aniwae, me always get bengawah solo mooncakes.. sweet-ness is juz ok.. not too sweet...:D

Every year also say that crown prince hotels has the best mooncakes.
Personally I never try b4.
Normally I buy from Prima deli. The snow skin wan are nice, but not too cheap loh.

i still like east ocean... dong hai... the custard one... super nice.. come in small small pieces one.. yum yum.. but super sinful..

I don't fancy Mooncakes, find them too sweet although I like Tau Sar Piah.

Hi all,
I think the yam mooncake from the Crown Prince Hotel is not bad except its a bit exp.
Anyway, u guys shld try the one from Mandarin, the lian rong is very smooth and silky leh hehe :).
Also, anyone noes where I can get those odd-shaped snow skin mooncakes? Abt 2 years back I got like 4 dog shaped snow skin mooncakes for my gf and she didn't bear to eat them until the mould got to them.

If you all got chance, try kee wah chinese moon pastry, my aunt brought it back from hong kong, told me it is the top brand there, cost her $50 per box of 4 double yolk moon cake. :hungry:

is still there :) went there two days ago to chk on the mookcake price but they close liao ... anyway they close quite early i think abt 7 or 8 they close liao :)

Went to Takashimaya.. the 'Da Zong Guo' mooncake is avaliable there. Wanted to sample and see whether it is as nice as people have commented, but they are the only store there that does not allow people to sample :(
Anyway, it is $24 for 4 plain ones.

is it went there last week leh ..... how come never see Da Zong Guo must go down agian to c n get one for my mum then i dun need to go till chinatown to get it ..... they dun let u try i think is becos it very old brand liao n most ppl who like their mook cake will just buy it cos ever year is the same mah ..... n mostly is those older generation ppl :D

i saw d Shangri La de mooncake got gold on it siah... anyone bought n tried? i tried d traditional one... very very nice... not too sweet :drool: Raffles d plaza one oso very very nice... i love its snowskin... now my house got 5 boxes :rolleyes: eat till siao
