uhm.. you dun sound like you know what you're doing... changing a 2 pin to a 3 pin is fine, as long as you put the right wire to the right pin. else you're gonna get a short every time. also, what does a fuse have to do with light being dimmer or not....

then if the light light up means nothing is wrong right

well, if nothing tripped, then no problem.. but i just noticed that you took out the top pin in the 3 pin. so whats the point of transfering it then?

goodness... thats the 1st time i heard something like that... yeah, you can, but generally 2 pin is sealed, so you need to know the colour difference. certain colour is for certain function. live, earth and neutral. put the wrong one, and the lest you will get is a short. if you suay enough, fuse spoil, then could start a fire or sumthing.

LOL, leave the earth pin in even though you did not connect anything to it. Please don't play with the furse, use the same type of fuse. If you change the fuse, there is no guarantee that the appliance is able to take the difference in current. Even if it can, the current has nothing to do with the brightness of the light!

The earth wire is the shortest route to the ground which is where the current will flow in the event that in does not flow through the normal route of the live and neutral wire.

In another words, the earth wire will save you from the numb sensation if you kana shock. but if the live and neutral works fine nuthing will happen.

just buy another 3 pin plug. strip the wire and rewire into the new 3 pin plug la.

fuse is just to ensure that the a device does not draw more ampere than it should or protect it when there is a power surge. fuse guards the device only like a firewall on your computer. can be a smaller ampere fuse but not a larger wan as more restrictive, the safer your device from getting burn.
