Food is good there
But its always full on weekends. so better book.

tried once... it is worth the money for all the seafood. but will get sick of all the seafood also... think of all the high cholesterol squid, sotong,clam,oyster,prawn,lobster,scallop etc...

it serves mainly seafood..they do have dim sum, some other non seafood dishes. but i think you better dun go if you dont take seafood. it is 80% seafood and you will only waste money if you go there eat other things(limited really)...because the price is ex due to all the seafood lor..

They have another branch (sorta) at Park Mall. Forgot which floor. The selection is about the same but the fresh oysters there seem better. But one tendency is that the ex food like the oysters and sashimi tend to run out pretty quickly and the replenishment dun come quick. Their stock for these food run out fast too, so dun expect to get them if you go there late.

Note is the selection is not bad but quality wise could be better... Price at $30++ to about $40 per pax.:D

the one at park mall is called Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ.... food there quite good.... worth the money...

it is very good. but the down thing is too ex. but thinking of the food's quality u are eating. it is worth it!

at that time the variety was limited too..so its kinda sucky.....

maybe too much seafood and raw food that's why you got diarrhoea. I think some of the food also not fresh because i dun dare to touch..hahah... dunno which are the days which are fresh though...

prefer the one at taka. if u lucky and sit pretty near to oysters. keke........ i attack oysters first....... and then the sashimi...... of course not fresh if there under the light for a while liao. Make sure u eat them first the moment they served to ensure quality.

cooked food is where they do the cooking of the meat for u in the mongolian way loh. the one in park mall high chances of burning leh ( went there twice ). taka one ok.

but taka more seafood . park mall de more cooked food. its has its merits.

park mall de think lunch no oysters.

park mall no queue, students with passes entitle to discounts.

taka de must queue on weekends. to save abit eat for lunch not dinner since same food served anyway.

at least this 2 is anytime better than a similiar 1 at United Square. The food there sucks except the ambience is nice.

i went once and i felt like being a participant of an eating competition......woah everyone seemed to be rushing here and there........plus those busybodies peeking thru the window panes.........not pleasant at all. and they've got this yucky sea aroma in the restaurant.

i didnt touch the rest of the seafood.....i mainly ate salmon sashimi, a little of mussels, unagi (thats excellent).....some other kinds of dim sum, tempura....in fact i dont think i will go back there again.

recently i tried the jap buffet promo at hotel phoenix...think they tried it for the first time...didnt koe what customers like to eat...end up there were so many tempura sweet potato pieces lying around.

if u like jap buffet, i strongly recommend plaza park royal hotel @ beach road . abt 32 per person with tax (sunday dinner).

merchant court buffet made me drink a lot of water last time...also not that nice except for the durian paste...salmon sashimi wasnt done right...

The food there are mainly seafood and sushi.. they have teppanyaki too.. not bad.. but i think variety not enough for me.. coz mostly very rich food.. so i ate halfway think wat else to eat.. ;)

been to both Taka and Park Mall ones...the variety not say a lot....the food so so only.... in fact the sashimi and oysters sux... feel not worth my money...somemore still have to compete with kiasu pple ...

taka one is very nice...i like it...their tempura run out veyr fast aso..
if im nt wrong..park mall one is nt related to taka one...and pls dun try the park mall one..ambience FAIL...food FAIL...dun waste ur $$..
and one veyr sad thg, i spend my last yr bday there...so disappointing...haiz :cry:

Not to sound like a wet blanket here,
my mother had a rather bad experience at the taka establishment.
She found the crabs to have a strange strench and she wasn't very happy with the service provided especially by the manager there.

Even my "boss" said that it was ex, though there's a variety, it's not very value-added and overall not really worth the price.
