well... Zire has a new OS(5.2.1), A Camera. but I like the tungsten because It has all that I need: I can use the bluetooth so that I can use my phone as a wireless modem for my palm, It has word processing, spreadsheet and slideshow, also, its slick and stylish for me. the drawback is that the OS is 5.0

Same as the one in Tungsten W, however I'm using T68 bt connection to T|T it still works. The program name is Pixer MMS. www.electricpocket.com remember it's Pixer MMS not Pixer (they are different).

Using Clie T-615 and looking to upgrade to either NX-80, UX-50 or the Samsung Nexio S160.

Btw, any one know where can get CF Modem for the NX-80?

Granted it is ancient technology with bluetooth/GPRS and WiFi but sometimes I travel to those ulu places that don't have these luxuries which mean that I have to fall back to good old telephone line.

Anyone?

Palms PDA is Great is the sense of the functions and softwares avaliable for downloads, but never ever purchase Tungsten W or you will really regret it.
The rest like m515 and m505 is great in the sense that it rarely gives users problems/bugs that other Palm's PDA is/are facing.

If i am not wrong the latest Palm PDA should be Palm Tungsten T3, Great inbuild, had mp3 function, video clip function, word/doc function and also WEB function. It is most suitable for students and working members of the public who wish to have a PDA with them all the time during a lecture or meeting.

Troubleshooting your Palm PDA you may ask me for help if you wish.

jakekoh, I agree with you. However, the m515 and m505 have been discontinued and in my opinion currently the best bang for buck is the humble Tungsten T; you'll get hi-res 320*320 and bluetooth with MP3 players for less than $300. If you have some extra money to spare, buy the newly released Sony TH55 (built in WiFi, 320*480 screen, camera, Sony handheld engine) for $750. If you have the money and patience, wait until first hardware of Palm OS Cobalt is released (around September).

Here's the problem.... by the time you waited until September and felt that the Cobalt was the right one to buy at that time, there is probably something even better in the horizon....

... then again, we will be drawn into the same debate if we are to wait for that one instead..... so as we go down the transition metals in the periodic table, what is next? Vanadium, Chromium? :p

actually a pda originated for just using it for note taking.. it is as time pass, pple want more things in that mini item, thus evolving into a mini computer.. See what are ur needs and wat u want.. then buy according... i bet if u go to spug.net and check out.. they will have a lot of fun things with their palm..

It is quite a unfair statement to say that.. cos a pda is limited in its hardware but very rich in his abilities to install software.. Just for example, a fully loaded with applications hp 4150 is definately much more enjoyable than a new and fresh Dell Axim X30 624mhz.

It is just like saying Mac and windows.. Both are good in its ways..
